Wanted something small for our his & hers office that I could put under my desk. This was perfect! Easy to assemble, sturdy materials, and beautiful. Great buy for the price! I haven't been using it for very long but so far, it is exactly what I wanted.
My partner and I spent a Sunday morning putting it together. Took about 2.5 hours. The drawer slides were probably the hardest part of the assembly. Just follow the directions and it's not bad. The reason I only gave it 3stars was because the alignment of the drawers aren't lined up perfectly but I didn't pay $300 for it either.
This a good cabinet for the price. It wouldn't stand up to high use but that's not what I paid for! the assembly is just like everything else you Arden. No surprises and not difficult. Definitely like to order on line and have this shipped to my door!
This file cabinet is a pretty decent small cabinet. Assembly is a little tedious -- definitely helps to have a battery powered screw driver but instructions are clear and packaging for the screws/cam bolts is good. Drawers don't line up perfectly but are pretty close. One foot had cracked wood but was functional. Overall finishes are good. This is an off-white color, not a bright white. OK for the price.
Be very careful when reading the directions. In step one, be sure to look closely at the picture on the right, as there is a small lever underneath the metal drawer glide that will release the two pieces from each other. When connecting that metal glide to the inside and step two, be sure to only attach part F2 to the panels not the entire metal glide. In step three be very careful where you put the wooden dowel And the cam bolt. Do not put them in the wrong spaces as you won't be able to get it back out! All in all once you're done, this a nice file cabinet. Just take your time, look at the pictures and do it exactly as it tells you. I always find it easiest to separate all the pieces first before I begin to make sure that you have them all!
