Q: Is this the original version by creator Nick Seluk or one of the versions that infringe on his intellectual property? Cuz it looks exactly like the knock off version and not the original.

  • A: Hi! Thanks for looking out for game designers! Yes, University Games does license the rights to the game from Heart and Brain and The Awkward Yeti - you can see on Board Game Geek that University Games is the current publisher of the game.

We enjoyed playing this game, the rules are very easy to learn and the concept was fun. The only issue is there is a little bit of a design flaw later in the game. Most afflications can only attack certain organs, so when the players get down to only a couple organs each you no one has anything to play. The game becomes multiple turns of players discarding two cards to get new ones so they can play. It was still fun, there are wild cards and simillar things that can be played but still made the end of the game drag when the begining was more fast paced. We would still play it again though.

Honestly my wife and I did not love it. Just kinda repetitive gameplay without much depth. I'm sure there is a niche out there for this kind of thing, but we werent in it

Wasn't sure what to expect, but really liked this game! It's super easy to play but engaging and it takes about 30 min to play which is in just the right sweet spot. Excited to show this to more people!

SO MUCH FUN!!

I love how easy to learn this game was and how much I learned throughout. I think that 2 players is still very fun and was a lot of deciding to attack or defend with pressure. Will definitely be picking this up throughout the holidays.

Hysterical, original, and fun for all!

We received this game in exchange for an honest review and it is absolutely hysterical! We love family games, and this one is quirky and also educational. Players start with organs and everyone tries to attack them with illnesses to be the last one with a remaining organ. There are also other cards that can block attacks or put people to sleep with Narcolepsy. If you’re looking for something different to make everyone laugh, this is the game you need for your collection!

A Fun and Educational Adventure!

Organ Attack by University Games is a fantastic blend of fun and learning! It’s an entertaining, fast-paced game where players get to 'attack' and defend different organs in the body. The educational aspect is excellent, with quirky facts about the human body that keep you engaged while you play. The game mechanics are easy to grasp, making it great for both kids and adults. Whether you’re competing to protect your organs or sabotage others, every round is full of laughs and strategy. Perfect for family game night!

So much fun

I really love this game. I brought it to work on Halloween and we had a blast. I also played it with my 10 year olds. They were nervous about the big words at first but caught on very quickly! They have asked to play it several times. The cards all have cute or funny jokes and is slightly educational in an entertaining way. Two of my coworkers have bought the game for their own collections.

Such a fun game!

This game is not only easy to learn, but is perfect for the whole family. You afflict other players organs- and eventually each organ is removed from players, until only one person remains. Not only can you afflict others organs- there are wild cards and surprise cards that have to be played immediately. It's a hilarious and fun game that is perfect for game night and the holidays! Highly recommend!!

Laughing through the pain

This game is incredibly fun to play. Instructions are really easy to follow once in gameplay. We played it a few times with new people and they were able to easily understand(and beat us) on the first attempt.

Such an easy game to set up. We love the pictures on the cards are so vibrant and great quality. One of our favorite parts is that you can play with only two players, although it seems like it would be more fun with a larger group. We can’t wait to host our next game night!

Overall this was a pretty good game that we will probably keep in rotation. It is easy to learn and fun to play. My one qualm so far is that there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of startegy to the game, it turns into more of a tit for tat, back and forth. With that being said we have still played it several times and have enjoyed it every time.

As a gaming family, you know whe you've found a winner. The kids are obsessed with this game. It was fun to watch their little minds try to strategize. It's silly and fun and that's the perfect pairing for a game night.

Great artwork and fun game -- terrific for kids

We played this game with our regular group of game night friends, and the consensus was that we liked the game, and even more than we expected on first blush. The setup is like this: each player is dealt a number of organ cards -- heart, liver, lungs, etc. -- and these are laid face up on the table in front of each player. In our game with 4 people, each person was dealt six organ cards. Then, each player is dealt a number of malady cards -- cancer, appendicitis, popcorn lung (OK, I don't think that last one was in the deck, but you get the idea) -- and then each of the players go clockwise playing their malady cards on the appropriate organ; for example, a cirrhosis card can be played only on the liver. Once an organ has two malady cards played on it, the organ dies and is out of the game. It's a pretty simple concept, and there are a handful of special cards that change up the rules and add a few unique twists to the game, but it's easy to pick up, and the artwork is cute and well done. The quality of the box and the cards were excellent. In terms of gameplay and ease of understanding, it's very similar to Unstable Unicorns, but perhaps with a little less chaos. There is a lot of silly stuff in here and the idea is quite unique, so the group had a fun time playing. We'll bring it out and play it again from time to time, but it's not quite got the depth to make it in to our regular rotation. I also think that it would be a great game for kids -- I could really see them getting into the artwork and having a great time with the silliness of it. One final note. The box says that it is for 2-4 players. I'm not sure why it says that, because you could definitely play with 6 very easily and without any compromises. More than 6 might be tough.
