Description
Tulips are the indispensable blooms of the spring garden, as they bring it to life! They are unique in the range of size, shape, and bold color found in almost every color spectrum, that only tulips provide. Tulips are suitable for a wide range of plantings, are excellent in the rock garden, in formal beds, as elegant cut flowers, and for containers. They can be used in nearly any garden design scheme. Flowers are upward facing, with linear to lance-shaped green leaves on the stem. Tulip descriptions can become quite technical, as they are grouped into 15 different divisions, describing the petals, stamens, and leaves in detail. Plant several different varieties of tulips throughout the garden to extend the blooming time. Ivory Floradale is a Darwin Hybrid tulip, which is known to perennialize well and perform somewhat better in the southern zones. The blooms are very large - born atop tall, sturdy stems - making for an excellent cut flower. Opens creamy, ivory yellow and matures to ivory white. Very elegant and often used at weddings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited as long as I could to plant these as we have had an unseasonably warm October, but I am so excited to see these bloom! The bulbs looked healthy and felt firm with very little tearing on the outer coating. Because of our unseasonably warm October, I did chill them in the fridge for several weeks prior to planting, so I'm hoping that helps! Can't wait to see them in the spring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Floradale tulip bulbs look fresh, firm, and healthy. They are labeled product of the Netherlands, so the best quality. I am in Zone 7 and am excited that these bulbs are supposed to perform well in the south. It is fall here and I just planted. The bulbs come with easy planting instructions and I find tulips very quick to get into the ground, so it is an easy addition to the garden. The ivory color will complement any other color flower or garden layout, so I planted among some pink tulips that I already had with an eye toward the recommended spacing for these large flowers. I look forward to seeing them all come up together in spring. The Floradale is a huge flower and I cannot wait to see it come back year after year. It will be great for cutting and making handmade bouquets for my vases.

The instructions are very easy to follow and before you know it your flower bed will look absolutely amazing. I will definitely have to get more as I have BIG plans for my front yard now. I want to share with the whole neighborhood.

This past spring I used Van Zyverden tulips bulbs and my tulips were so beautiful! This year I made sure I used the same brand again. The colors were so bright! This year I also included some ivory which I can’t wait to see! I would definitely recommend Van Zyverden bulbs to family and friends.
