Description

Aquilegia is native to Europe and known by several common names such as Columbine, Crowfoot and Granny's Bonnet. It is known and appreciated for its spring bloom and beautiful basal leaves. Flowers are dove-like with a spreading bonnet-like appearance. Use in borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, shade gardens, woodland gardens or in naturalized settings. Enjoy as a ground cover after bloom. Perfect choice for the Northeast as they will naturalize freely. USDA zone appropriate in all 3-8 zoned gardens. Our Columbine Blend is a picture perfect mixture of Aquilegia varieties; Ruby Port, Pink, black and blue Barlow which are complimentary in color, height and blooming time. Best of all they are easy to grow just about anywhere.
