The most important ingredient really is trust
I trust Vanicream to provide all of my personal care products. They are the only company I have found that actually formulates products for allergic/reactive/sensitive skin types like mine and my daughters. We've tried "toxin free"/ "natural, organic" brands only to be left with raw, bumpy, itchy, inflamed skin and scalps. The Vanicream shampoo and conditioner clean our scalps and provides softness and shine all without the fragrance, itch, flakes and back acne. The gel gives my waves definition and keeps the frizz at bay. The face wash and body wash clean without leaving us dry or red. Also, there is no residue or smell, not even a lingering chemical one. We just smell like nothing which is what clean should smell like. Only recently did we switch from a popular brand of moisturizer with ceramides to Vanicream moisturizing lotion. Turns out the popular brand was giving us zits and blackheads and somehow also making us feel dry? Not vanicreams lotion. Our skin feels hydrated and more importantly we don't notice our skin which says it all. I also don't feel like I need "anti-aging" products anymore. I did try the vanicream face moisturizer but something in it broke me out (glyceryl stearate maybe?) but the moisturizing lotion makes my face skin look amazing so I'm cool with that. We hope to try the deodorant next too! Thank you Vanicream for caring about the health of your customers. If you keep the formulas the same we will keep buying. You really have made our lives a little easier.

I've liked other items from this brand but I hate this lotion. It's not moisturizing yet leaves a silicone feeling residue. I'm really particular with how lotions feel and this one is awful. On the plus side no fragrance and a good price.

Has a powdery finish
I really wanted to like this lotion for sensitive skin as I have used the thicker cream in the jar previously. The texture to me leaves a powdery matt feeling on my hands. No adverse reactions though. And further review of other reviews, I am also hypothyroid and was not aware of the BHT ingredient. My hand lotion search continues...

Vanicream is my go-to for dry, sensitive skin.
Having sensitive skin, and allergies to a lot of added chemicals and frangrances common in many products, Vanicream is my go to! I use all of their products and the lotion is a favorite. The lotion is lighter than their cream, and in those times that my skin needs a bit more moisture due to dry climate or weather conditions, I've found my perfect solution -- combine the Vanicream Lotion with the Vanicream Cream and voila! Perfectly moisurized skin!

Not thick enough
I was hoping to find a lotion curated for sensitive skin without any harmful chemicals, that wouldn’t irritate my skin while providing moisture. It didn’t cause any adverse reactions however, it unfortunatly was not thick enough to keep my skin moisturized. I need a thicker lotion and will not be repurchasing. If you have above average dry skin, I do not recommend purchasing.

This product contains BHT, an endocrine and thyroid disruptor. I have hyperthyroidism and Since using this product, my lab tests drastically worsened. I started scanning my products with an ingredient scanner app and found this one with a red flag. Since I threw it out, my lab tests have improved again.

Vanicream lotion
I love this lotion. I have the strange combination of dry, sensitive skin that gets occasional pimples. This lotion doesn't irritate my skin or cause breakouts. Have tried the competitors and this is the best.

Vanicream lotion
I have slightly dry, sensitive skin that can be prone to acne. It is often red and itchy after cleansing or wearing foundation. Most moisturizers (even fragrance free and non comedogenic) I'll get a few pimples. I finally found a cleanser that keeps my combination skin clear but is a little drying. More importantly I found that Vanicream lotion helps calm my skin and doesn't cause pimples. I am so happy with it and plan to try Vanicream cream for winter months when my skin is drier. Giving up on anti aging products has actually helped mybskin looked better.

BEST Moisturizer for sensitive, oily, acne prone skin.
I remember my freshman year in high school I tried and returned 10 different moisturizers. I had hard time finding a moisturizer my skin actually liked. Most were too heavy or not moisturizing enough and some contained fragrance or too many ingredients. This moisturizer has changed my life and my skin for the better. I still try other moisturizers but this one is better than all of them. I hope Vanicream never changes anything about this moisturizers.
