Disappointed in the quality. I was so excited to play this when I got home only to fine then first two songs on Side A and Side B skip through the whole song. Exchanged for another record and the same exact thing happened. I love Motown but not sure what is going on with these presses of the album. Want to try and exchange again but feel the same thing will happen again.

Frustrating...
Both pressings were warped. The beginning of the first song on each side of each vinyl wouldn’t even play. Once you got passed that it was just skips and pops. Very disappointing, will be returning and trying again from a different store. Maybe it was the way it was shipped...

This great collection of classis Motown songs sounds and looks great. Plays nicely, with no skips. The cool, gold colored vinyl adds a very nice touch. Although there are some songs I'd swap for others not included, the album is a nice sample of Motown greatness.

I first thought I'd give this a four-star rating only because one of the two vinyl records in this two-record set was warped more than I would consider tolerable although my Audio-Technica AT-LP1240-USB turntable and AT440MLb cartridge/stylus had no trouble tracking without skipping. However a cheap turntable and cartridge/stylus would most likely not be able to avoid skipping around due to the warping. The spindle hole was accurately centered in both vinyl records and fit over the spindle perfectly with no slop or tightness between the hole and the spindle on the turntable. No excessive surface noise and the dynamic range was great. That being said . . .
If you love Motown music from the sixties and seventies you'll love the selection of songs on this two-record set. It's not often I find an album of "hit" songs that I like even two-thirds of the songs (or even recognize two-thirds of the songs) but this is the exception. I'd say 90% of the songs were recognizable and great songs on this set.
