Not just a tomato cage
Love, this Item. Makes watering super easy and I don't have to fuss with the dirt. I uploaded a video of my avocado tree that I have growing in this pot. It's about a foot away from the ceiling. May have to cut it soon. Not likely to bear fruit, but it's beautiful to watch it grow.

Tomatoes or Avocados!!
I grew an avocado tree from a seed, fruit was purchased from the market. Eventually I ran out of large pots and the plant needed support so I purchased (at full price) the vego tomato cage. The tree has almost outgrown our sunroom. She is my Diva, I keep a humidifier running to keep her happy😄. I do not expect to get fruit from it as it stays indoors (Md zone7). I take her out during the summer to give her a full spray down. It is a joy watching her grow. Thank you vego for this product!! Watering is super easy and other than providing fertilization I dont fuss with the dirt or the pot.

Just couldn’t wait to plant Armenian Cucumbers
The Self-watering Tomato Cage Planters came today. I couldn’t wait to plant the Armenian Cucumbers as I had been waiting for a planter such as this to plant them. The trellis isn’t set up yet. That will come later. If there is an opportunity, I could post the finished trellis with the cucumber vines. I purchased 2 of these planters The other one will be set up later for tomato plants. Everything was so easy.

The complete package
This is a great system. I wanted to put a tomato plant on the front of the house, but I did not have the space. This was a perfect addition. The design and thought put into this is outstanding. The module trellis is excellent for growing tomatoes. I love the self-watering. . . . this is great for the week that I'm at work and have little time to remember watering.

Beautiful design with one flaw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my tomato planters. The one flaw is that the lower portion of the water level tube consistently detaches from the top due to the heat. The tube should be redesigned to screw together. I have tried glue which didn't work, will try tape next season.

A note on assembly. . .
The trellis part may feel completely janky at first but it's not!! Be sure to push the bars fully into the connectors, it could take a bit of muscle. It is deceptively strong if you've put it together correctly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own two of these and love them! I’m growing Roma tomatoes with a basil in one and bell peppers with oregano in the other. They grew amazingly well and have gotten more fruits on the tomato and the pepper than from the other plants planted in raised beds. Self watering feature makes it so easy to water consistently, and the planter is aesthetically pleasing as well. They are great to have on a balcony as no need to worry about water damage. Excess water can be drained out easily from the built in water plug if needed. Highly recommend!!

Great for tomatoes!
This self-watering planter saved my tomatoes in our very hot and dry summer. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the wheels are so small, they practically don't work when the planter is full of water and my water level gauge doesn't float. Very easy to set up!

Sorry, you do not want to hear my review! Tomato plants died. Water indicator never worked properly I had no problem with the trellis portion, but that could be due to the face that the two planters I purchased killed the tomato plants before they needed support! So VERY disappointed!!!!

This is by far the best tomato planter I’ve ever owned. It is so well made, easy to move around with wheels and the plant grows evenly through the trellis. No more flimsy wire trellises. The self water feature is a bonus!

To preface this: I am a terrible gardener. If I can have success, so can you. I bought a few of these for my balcony that gets very full sun. I've never been successful growing anything on there because the sun is very intense up there in the summer. So far, so good this year! In one I am growing tomatoes and it's the biggest tomato plant I've ever grown. It's producing so many tomatoes, I've had to clip some of the branches to the trellis to prevent the branches from breaking. Small tomatoes might be a better choice for this plantar. I do have to fill it the reservoir at least once (sometimes twice) a day, likely because of the intense sun and the enormous size of this tomato plant. In the second plantar, I put cucumbers and peppers. I planted them later and they are suddenly growing quite rapidly. I probably should not have planted two plants in one of these, but so far so good. I did hang some string trellis to help the cucumbers climb upwards and that seems to be working. I only need to fill the reservoir about once a week. Again, I really have no idea what I'm doing, but it does seem like I am having some success with these.

Self watering tomato planter
I’ve been using the VEGO Tomato Self-Watering Planter on my balcony and I’m really happy with it. It was very easy to assemble.
