This container works great for smoothies, grinding thick spice pastes and also for bean pastes. Requesting Vitamix to offer a stainless steel container for spice grinding. Similar to this stainless steel container, but half the height and maybe with a wider base. This container is too bulky to grind larger quantities of spices. They also collect under the blade.

Love the stainless steel container. Feel much better knowing there’s no possibility of microplastic exposure. Slightly concerned with the hinges of the plastic lid. With daily use they make become brittle and fatigued. I also noticed that the motor is a little more sluggish when we use the stainless steel container because of the additional weight.

I wish it comes in smaller size. Though it is nice stainless steel construction, it is bit heavy and a bit tall for under the cabinet situation and I wished that the price was a little bit for affordable.
It Shuts off after 10 -15 seconds on any setting.

Ditch the toxic plastic especially if you're putting hot liquids in it. Slightly smaller and then the factory plastic but well worth the turnover we tossed our plastic one.

This stainless steel pitcher is a game changer. Even though the boa-free plastic carafe works great, this one ensure better health and safety. As an unexpected bonus, it is much quieter than the plastic pitcher as well, especially when ice is added to a drink.

We’ve gotten rid of all plastics, and this was the last item. I use it daily for protein shakes, and it does an excellent job. Just big enough for our needs. Have mixed a few marinades, etc in it. I would think it will last longer than the vitamix….so a long long time! 😀

I accidentally broke my plastic container after 10 years of daily use. The ecological thing to do was buy the stainless steel container and I am so glad I did! At first, I was hesitant about it only holding 48oz, but it’s not that big of a deal. When and if I need to replace my motor, this canister will still be in great condition. Use what you have, repair it, and spend the money on better quality.

We like the idea of a metal container. Our previous plastic container served us well, but became stained after 20 years of use and the blades started to squeal. (Our Vitamix is over 20 years old.) The CSR at Vitamix suggested the stainless steel container would work well with our older base and we've been pleased with our choice. Pay attention when cleaning with hot water. Metal transmits heat better than plastic.

Love, love, love this container! I splurged because we’re trying to reduce the amount of plastic we use in our house. It’s actually been the only one I use for everything! It’s expensive, which stinks, BUT it is worth it if you can swing it. Highly recommend!
