Q: How do you get the blade clean. Is it detachable
A: Hi! We do not recommend ever taking the blade our of your Vitamix container. The best way to clean it is to fill the container half way with some warm water, a drop of dish soap, then blend on high! Rinse and let dry, so easy!

Q: Can it be uses as a juicer.
A: Hi! Because the Vitamix is a whole food machine, it is much different from a juicer and will not be able to extract the juice from produce the way a standard juicer does. However, you can still use your Vitamix to make delicious whole juices! Simply add in your produce with at least enough water to cover the blades (you may want to add more to make a thinner mixture), then blend on high until smooth. Once the mixture is to the consistency you need, stop your Vitamix and remove the container from the motor base. Take a cheesecloth or one of our nifty filtration bags, and place in a large bowl. Pour the mixture from your Vitamix container into the cheesecloth or filtration bag slowly, then gather up the edges and squeeze out the juice into the bowl! You can then discard the pulp or add it to your compost!

Q: Can you upgrade the pitcher to a 64 oz. on this Explorian model?
A: Hi! The E310 is unique in that it is our only machine that comes with a 48oz container. To get the 694oz container it would be an additional purchase. If you only need the one container, we would suggest our other models that all come with the 64oz container.
submitted byVitamix Team - 2 years agoBrand expertA: If you wanted the 64 oz. container it would be an additional purchase for your machine, they can not be swapped out. Almost all of our other model do come standard with a 64oz. container.
