HDMI ARC has never worked right with this system. It goes in and out. Tried in vain to get vizio support to help with it years ago but gave up. I have to use optical which eliminates the Atmos features. Also, Vizio changed the app from Smartcast to Watchfree and it no longer works with my soundbar system. Was told in Dec 2024 "Sorry" by vizio support. Can't update firmware even with USB stick again "Sorry"

Zero support help from Vizo. Vizio TV sound cuts out during quiet parts of movies or shows completely ruining the experience. So disappointed with Vizio on all levels.

Product is updated but requires hard reset to work nearly every day and sometimes more than once a day. Hard reset means unplugging it and plugging it back in. This product is no good.

I bought model SB36512-F6 in 2019. Worked intermittently since purchase. I made the mistake of downloading app. As soon as I did, it did a firmware update. As you will see in the many online reviews, I got caught in firmware update loop. Unrecoverable. Support told me they can’t help and it cannot be repaired or replaced even they their firmware update caused. Told me I was out of luck.

I own two of these and one continues to work great. The other is very finicky and loses HDMI signal regularly. I've changed cables, sources, etc and the problem follows the sound bar. A hard power cycle works most of the time but I worry it's only a matter of time for it to fail completely. The ATMOS isn't as immersive as I hoped. I may try the newer models although I worry about quality especially at these price points.

I bought this, not really a fan of Vizio. I have only seen Vizio make cheap TV's. This was one of the cheapest Dolby Atmos Soundbars I could find, so I bought it. I was able to get it to work with my LG Oled TV, but the ios App does not sync with the soundbar.

For a "premium" sound bar, this bar has been horrible. It constantly disconnects from tv and because it's connected via ARC, the tv recognizes that there is an output device so I end up without any audio. I either have to turn off the sound bar with the sound bar remote or restart the tv. I've noticed that the issue occurs 100% of the time when something is not played on the tv within seconds of turning it on. If I play something immediately the issue never occurs, but if I turn it on to browse for things to watch 100% sure that the sound bar will not play any audio. This would be 0 stars if I could put no stars.
