I used this to cut through thick leather fabric and it cut beautifully. This is now my go to pair for quality cuts when I have a large quantity of material that needs to be cut.

The grip is wide enough for two fingers of a mid-sized hand or suitable for a small hand. The handle material is firm but does have a little cushion for the fingers.

Obviously this isn't a pair of scissors I would allow elementary students to "borrow", but they are a good pair of scissors for the multitude of cutting tasks a teacher encounters daily. One thing that sets them apart from lots of others I've tried is the grip, which is very comfortable.
