Ramp is worth the extra moolah
What can I say, it's a ramp. It makes the unit more accessible for your cat kids. It is also the first line of defense against litter tracking.

Doesn't work
I would buy the product with it already vs. trying to get pieces to make it adaptable, which it isn't.

Works great for one of my cats who has mobility issues.
I have a young cat who has inner ear issues and has mobility issues. She was not able to get in and out of the litter box. The steps were exactly what she needed.

Good
It does collect more liter than I thought it would. I must have some messy girls, I need a mat now to keep it off my floor and confined to the mat, it gets on my hardwood floor.

Reconditioned LR3 & ramp
This is my 4th LR and it works great My cats took immediately to the first LR3. Easy to maintain, although I did cover the area of the punch detector I did not like the Connect options, so bought just base mark w/o Connect and am quite happy.

I should have purchased this sooner!
I love these stairs! My female cat has arthritis in her back legs and these stairs work great to alleviate the hopping in and out of the box. Another great aspect of the stairs is the easy litter trapping. Instead of litter all over the floor from my male cat, it is now just on the stairs.
