Description

The Worx JawSaw is the chainsaw, re-invented. The JawSaw is the first and only fully enclosed chainsaw, which features a patented system that provides automatic lubrication and tightening of the chain. THE SAFEST CHAINSAW ON THE MARKET, the JawSaw's blade & chain retract until they're fully enclosed in the guard, protecting users from dangerous contact, making the JawSaw the safest chainsaw available. The JawSaw is also the only chainsaw designed to operate directly on the ground or pavement, so no more heavy lifting or sore backs! You can chop up fallen tree limbs right on the ground. This electric chainsaw weighs only 8.1 lbs. so it’s more maneuverable than larger chainsaws. Its steel teeth hold work in place while cutting for added stability. And its scissor cut action limits dangerous kickbacks. Plus, it’s electric, so you don’t have to deal with the fuss, mess, and extra expense of gasoline. Includes a 3-year warranty & a 30-day money back warranty. The Worx JawSaw is not only the easiest, but is also the safest way to clean up the mess from any storm.

I have both a corded and a battery version of the JawSaw. Both work very well, but honestly, since I purchased the battery operated one, I never use the corded one. Also, I got the handle extension. It works well.

Sofar I have been very happy with this product. Its truly easy to use. No fear. I haven't had any issues with the chain popping off or anything like that like in online revies.. I haven't used it on the hardwood tree i need to prune yet. I have used it on several different woods & it has cut through them like butter. Bo kickback. I'm very happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a jawsaw for 2.5 years, easy to handle and love using it! The company stands behind their product...I had problems with mine 2 weeks before warranty was up and they gladly replaced it. Great company to work with!

Easy sweatless cutting

Love how easy the jaw saw cuts branches that are 3-4 inches wide into small pieces. Safe to use and cuts like using an electric knife on bread. I’m 67 and had mine about 8 years and so glad I have it. Every once in a while the chain might need to be reset like other saws, but don’t let that deter you from buying this. Definitely has made my life easier cutting limbs and branches without a sweat.

I've used this so many times. I trim pushes with it, cut limbs for kindling. So easy to cut on the ground. This just scoops it up and cuts! I find it very safe and not intimidating. My family members borrow it often!

I HAVE HAD MY JAWSAW FOR OVER 9 YEARS AND STILL WORK AS WELL AS EVER. I HAVE LIMED TREES FOR CUTTING ON OUR 40 ACRES. CUT DEAD FALL. IT WORKS VERY WELL. ANYTHING YOU CAN FIT INTO ITS JAWS IT WILL CUT WELL. I AM NOW 74 YEARS OLD AND STILL USING MY JAWSAW TO TRIM MY TREE. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF WORX MAKE ON WITH A LARGER MOUTH IN ADDITION TO THIS MODEL.

Had My Doubts - But Nice Addition to My Tools

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this JawSaw as a gift and was a bit doubtful I would have a lot of use for it - I was wrong. Now that I primarily use a battery powered chainsaw for my heavy tree work, this JawSaw has found a niche use for limbing branches and clean up work that I don't want to use my larger / main chainsaw on. Using this in tandem with my larger battery operated saw keeps me working more hours at a time before breaking for battery recharges. Thanks Worx.

Hello Valued Customer! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review with us. Try taking the cover off put the new chain around the bar, making sure that the links mirror the little image on the tip of the bar (to make sure the links are going in the right direction)place the chain around the sprocket and seat the bar in place. Hold the tip of the bar outwards and at a slightly upward angle put the cover back on and tighten it in place, while continuing to hold the bar outwards and at an upward angle, to remove any slack tighten it all the way and you should be good. By holding the bar outwards while putting it on, will remove extra slack. Tipping the tip of the bar upwards helps improve the tension, which means fewer issues with the chain coming off

My jawsaw is one of the first ones to come out. It is now 2023. Its finally is done. The chain will not stay among other things. That is a long life span for a tool that has been used over and over for that long. Im buying a second one. Looking for it to outlive me. Great quality. Has original chain still cutting until now. All original.

I purchased this two months ago and on the second use the chain came off twice. 30 refund is well below what most tool Mfg give. This is top heavy and for tree triming is not suitable for the job. Cutting wood on the ground it is still cumbersome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my saw I would recommend it for the ladies that are slight afraid of the regular chain saws. The only issue I have with it is it gets jammed and I have to pull off the battery to get it to stop. Other wise it is a great tool!

I bought mine a year ago. I can't imagine yard work without it. It chomps through downed limbs like a hungry beaver. Has no problem with oak as thick as 4" in diameter. Pine like it isn't there. Battery lasts longer than I can.

purchased last year, was clearing fence rows that had not attended for 18? yrs, lots of young trees to be removed and pruned before dumping into the burn pit. I am 88 years young and carrying /using the 12" cordless chain was do-able but tiring. The JAWSAW allows me to do 3 times the work without all the time outs. So lightweight with the share power battery. It also helps strip the larger trees for more successful burns at the pit. Can't imagine how I survived without it. I now own several WORX power share tools and it keeps getting better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I 'm 60 year old female and this is one of my most favorite tools by WORX! This JawSaw is very easy to use. Not too heavy yet heavy enough to know it's a quality tool. I go around to family & friends just looking for limbs to cut. I've had this for several years and haven't had any problems with it what-so-ever. So, if you are looking for fast & efficient limb removal then this JawSaw is for you! Bravo WORX!

Minor short comings

I purchase this product several months ago and it has been worth the money. The advertisement suggesting that the saw can be positioned with the open end toward the ground. This worked well for me until it picked up a stone that got lodged in saw. It effectively destroyed the cutting edges on chain, but following the instructions I was able to install a new chain in fairly short order. Another problem was securing proper chain and bar oil for the saw. The materials provided with the saw suggested that 10W (single weight oil) should be used. I could not find any source for such bar/chain oil, and finally purchased oil that was rated to about 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Internet sources indicated that mixing oil with diesel fuel should be considered when using the saw in very cold environments. The literature provided with this saw could be improved in educating the user the details that may be attendant to proper lubrication of the saw.
