Description
The Worx 20V Shrubber/Shear is designed to quickly trim bushes, shrubs, and hedges in-between regular maintenance, so you don’t have to get out the big, bulky, full-size hedge trimmer for just some touch-up work. At only 2 lbs you just grab this tool and go and quickly take care of that bush in the corner that’s looking a little shaggy, or those few blades around that tree that maybe got missed over the weekend. This tool is equipped with enough functionality, though, that you could use this as your regular hedge trimmer if you were so inclined. Featuring two quick-change blades: a 4” blade for grass trimming and an 8” blade for shrubs, with a max cut capacity of 5/16” and a no-load speed of 1100/min, there’s enough design and power to keep an entire yard looking crisp and clean. The dual-action blades slice twice, making sure to catch every leaf and twig. And the soft-grip over-mold handle is easy to grasp and use for extended periods without causing significant hand fatigue. This particular model doesn’t come with a battery, it’s meant for Worx Power Share users that already have a few batteries lying around at home. See, when you’re on the Power Share platform, you don’t need as many batteries, because you can share them between tools. So when you buy a new tool, you pay less because you don’t need to buy a new battery.

The oblong piece wears out too quick and won't rotate blades enough to cut anything. I'm told can't get that part. I won't buy another. Only way to get the part needed is to buy the entire shear blade assembly. That's bologna.

I recently purchased the Shear/Trimmer hand tool, which makes touch-ups on bushes, grass and even vine shrubs simple and easy. I then discovered and purchased the telescoping extension pole with wheels, which makes it a total back saver when timing grass and anything out of reach. This is a must have trimmer combo that is Shear Pleasure to use!

When I saw it in the Worx line I jumped on it and have been overwhelmed by its construction and ease of use. I have eight Worx products all in the gardening, wood cutting area and this one is the lightest easiest one of the all. I put it to work the minute I received it and have trimmed trees, ivy, and bushes with total effectiveness and perfection. I am 80 years old and its like having a robotic arm to use , no strain, no stress and its light character makes it effortless to use. I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought this tool to trim some 2 foot hedges and trim my neighbors hedges that are growing over my fence. even though it is only an 8 inch hedge trimmer, it does extremely well. the grass trimmer, which i didn't think i would use, comes in very handy. it will be even more important this fall when i trim the seasonal flowers. for the price, this tool is a gem!

I have a large corded trimmer but wanted something small to do small touch up jobs. I was concerned it would not have enough power to do what I wanted but I am very pleased with how well it functions. It is light weight and best of all I don't have to drag out a long extension cord.

The quick change from grass clipper to bush shaper makes this so convenient. And I coupled it with the Worx 20V "automobile" charger. Using the DC "cigarette lighter" plug lets me bypass the AC to DC inverter, which wastes energy stored in my solar panel storage battery unit. Even when the wall socket style charger has finished topping up the Worx battery, just having the inverter in the circuit registers a 10 watt battery drain. If you forget to turn off the AC inverter, the storage battery is depleted by the next time you get to the garden shed.

Disappointed that the blade has broken on my two times. Cannot order the part have to purchase entire tool. This tool needs revamping or should be stronger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't familiar with using these types of clippers, but having to put fences (barriers) around my newly planted trees to prevent the deer from eating the leaves or ripping them down I had no way to easily trim the growing grass & weeds at the base of the trees. Once I used this clipper guess what it worked well! So no complaints!

My husband’s favorite toy! We have lots of trim work in our yard and this does a great job especially in hard to reach spots, fenced areas and rock walls…don’t have to worry about the string breaking! I think my husband looks for areas to trim just so he can use the tool!-

It also came in handy to trim the grass around my sprinkler heads. I wish I had bought this sooner. I plan to buy more for Holiday gifts.
