A: Blocks are usually used to help you reach the floor or to keep you balanced in certain poses. Most studios provide their own, but if you're looking to buy one, I'd say one should suffice. You typically move the block from one side to another as you use it. Some people like having 2, but in my experience, I've only really used one at a time. As your experience continues, you might want to splurge on a 2nd, it depends on your personal use and experience.

I've been practicing yoga for about 10 years on and off and had a really good yoga block that I misplaced when I moved. Decided to run into the store and buy this one and boy did I instantly regret it. I've used it for one class. Literally one class two different positions so maybe a total of 5 minutes and there's already a gouge on it. I don't even have long nails.

I purchased this yoga block to help me with some posture stretches and exercises. It has definitely helped me a lot with those, and my partner has also used it a few times just to help stretch out their back. I don’t do yoga, so I can’t comment to its use there, but it’s a great little guy for helping to stretch out your chest and adjust your back posture in the process. It’s easy to store away when I’m not using it, too.

Too soft, doesn't provide enough stability. I have other foam blocks that are much sturdier, so it's not just because this isn't cork. Get the cork ones from the same brand, they are heavy but will last so much longer than these.
