Gaiam Yoga for Beginners Kit

This is a really good starter kit for the basics to get you into yoga, love the videos it includes on site.

This is the worst quality mat I have ever had. I do only yoga on it, no shoes, in a cool carpeted space. With every single workout, pieces come off. I finally had it this morning and contacted Gaiam who told me it was "accidental damage", basically my fault, and offered me 20% off the purchase of a new mat. I get that something can be a dud or faulty. It happens. But if they will not be accountable for a bad product and blame the customer, I will no longer be purchasing Gaiam products.

Mat is not good at all. You slide all over it when trying to do yoga.

Nice to have all the essentials. The block, strap and mat. Purchased this for my daughter and she loves it. High quality and the price is well below what one would pay if you purchased each item individually. Will be purchasing more for gifts. The added DVD really completes the kit. All the essentials for starting yoga in one box. Highly recommend.

This set is ideal for the chair yoga class I take. A great buy!

Strap and block are great. Mat is really pretty bad for the following reasons: 1. It's only 5'8"" long. I'm 5'9"" so even if I perfectly ""center"" myself on the mat, one part of me is hanging off. 2. It's thin. It's so thin and lightweight that if you do any type of cardio on it, it will literally flip and flop and float off the ground and always be moving. If you are doing simple yoga, you'll need to find another soft surface to put underneath because hardwood is just painful. 3. The print isn't centered left to right. Minor gripe, but it's annoying to look straight down (down dog) and see a lopsided print. Makes it impossible to find the center of the mat. *review sourced from Gaiam

I bought this set very excited and was disappointed upon opening the box.  The yoga block is substantially smaller than an average sized one and seems like it was meant for a child.
