Zojirushi 20oz GoCafe Insulated Mug

I used the GoCafe to take hot water to work to drink every morning. It keeps the water hot for more than 12 hours of it is not open and close to drink constantly. I boil the water between 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm the night before. I picked the 20 oz because it fits perfectly in the side pocket of my backpack. The weight is good as well. I do like the lock feature on the lid to prevent leaks and splits, especially when it is in my backpack. It is easy to unlock to drink and relock afterwards to prevent accidents. The flip-lid once detached is easy to wash. So far, I have used it for work to bring hot water to drink every morning. I love that I can boil the water the night before to take to work the next morning to drink. I also like the lock mechanism to prevent leaks and splits while it is in my backpack. The size is not too big, so it fits in the side pocket of my backpack and in the cup holder in my car.

The thermos is great unfortunately it is not dishwasher safe so that is then only reason for one less star… otherwise its keeps beverages warm and is pretty sturdy. The color is also a huge plus!

I love this, it's the perfect size, not too big, fits in my purse standing up, keeps my coffee hot and the mug doesn't leak.

It is very lightweight and keeps my tea warm for several hours. I really like the design of the spout: the flow is just right and it separates from the lid for easy cleaning. It's also easy to handle with one hand while driving.

I anticipated the GoCafe to be of fine quality and to perform well. As with all Zojirushi products, I was not disappointed. This Japanese company produces top tier products. The mug is not only beautiful, its latching mechanism is solid as well as the insulating properties. Another fine product from Zojirushi.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the GoCafe 20 oz. coffee tumbler for a few weeks now, and I really like it. It keeps my coffee hot for several hours so I can leisurely enjoy my morning coffee. The lid is designed for convenience and is easy to open with one hand, which is great when I'm on the go. The color choices are beautiful (I love the Asagi color) and the tumbler is comfortable and easy to hold. It fits perfectly in the cupholder of my Nissan Leaf, which hasn’t always been the case with other tumblers and insulated bottles I’ve tried. Although the GoCafe is fairly light compared to other tumblers I have, it is also durable. I accidentally dropped it while on a walk and was relieved to find only a few minor scratches—no dents at all, and the closed lid stayed completely intact and did not pop open. (I do not know whether the lid would have suffered damage if it was opened when I dropped it, but I am unwilling to voluntarily test that!) Best of all, the GoCafe doesn't spill or leak when the lid is closed, even when it was jostled around in my bag. And the locking mechanism ensures the lid won’t accidentally open while in my bag. It is easy to disassemble and reassemble the lid for cleaning. For those who wonder whether the GoCafe would be a good choice for a water bottle, I filled it with ice and water and there was quite a bit of ice remaining the next morning (about 10 hours later). The only downside I can report at this time is the GoCafe retains the smell and taste of coffee no matter how well I wash or soak it; I believe it is the lid not the bottle itself. However, this is no different from any other tumbler I use for coffee, so I’m not sure it’s really a downside...especially since I will only use it for coffee, and used it for water only to test for this review. Overall, I’m highly satisfied with the GoCafe tumbler. It delivers on everything I want in a coffee tumbler—functionality, style, and durability. Definitely recommend!

Has not leaked even when up side down. Keeps my coffee warm. The best, best, best feature is the top part is easy to take apart, clean and put back together!!!

It’s leak-proof, easy to carry, and fits perfectly in my car’s cup holder. The purple-and-white design looks great. Cleaning the lid takes extra effort but is totally worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mug is well worth the cost. I put cold water with just a little ice and let it sit for 24 hours. The water was still ice cold and ice still remained in the mug after 24 hours. For hot coffee I use the mug to keep coffee hot for long periods of time. I am a delivery driver so I can't sit a drink my coffee in one sitting. The go cafe mug keeps the coffee hot more than 8 hours. The coffee also doesn't get bitter because it is kept at a high temperature. After 8 hours the coffee is still at the same temperature as when I served it. I also liked the way the top easily comes apart for washing. The top also has a good feel for the opening so you can drink without having to check the opening so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. The mug is also very light in weight yet durable. In a delivery truck it gets dropped and roughed up but it can take the abuse. It actually takes me longer to drink my coffee now because this Go Cafe keeps the drink so hot for so long. Comes in some sleek choice of colors for both men and women. If you want your drink hot or cold for a real long time you will get what you pay for with this mug.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's okay for cold drinks, but not so much for hot. The lid mechanism sticks sometimes and I don't like that the seals aren't replaceable. My old mug (SM-KHE48-XA) works much better than this one.

It has been two weeks since I started using this mug, and it's already become my daily for coffee/water/beverages. The build and quality are great. Stone gray gives a low-profile look to it. It's easy to disassemble and wash, and the 20oz size is just right for me, as I work from home and want to take occasional breaks to stand up and stretch. No leaks have occurred so far due to any movement. I was a bit worried when I saw how big the opening actually was, but it turned out to be no issue (but I do prefer a smaller opening). I probably wouldn't use this in a gym setting, but it was fine to walk slowly and drink hot coffee at the same time. The locking mechanism also saved me a few times from accidentally opening the lid. This mug lacks a handle or any other grip points, relying solely on the body of the mug itself. As a result, it can become a bit slippery if liquids are spilled.

I’ve been a loyal fan of Zojirushi travel mugs for quite some time now. My latest purchase, a 20-ounce mug, stands out as the best one I’ve had so far. The new cap design is incredibly easy to clean and ensures a leak-free seal when closed. The outside diameter is conveniently sized, making it easy to handle and fitting snugly in all my vehicle cup holders. I primarily use it for cold drinks, and it has proven to be an excellent way to keep my beverages chilled throughout the day. One improvement I would to see is a larger opening so it's easier to load up with ice cubes.

I’m a loyal user of Zojirushi’s products, I have used the following products: Rice cookers, water boilers & warmers, vacuum insulated food jars, vacuum insulated lunch jars, vacuum insulated bottles, electric skillet hot pot, fish roaster, etc. The oldest and still used Zojirushi product is the warming tray. I was lucky to get selected for Zojirushi new product Go Café vacuum insulated bottle review program. When I received it, the appearance and weight have attracted me. After cleaning, add boiled water to test the heat preservation effect. The water is still warm for a whole day. I like drink warm water/tea/coffee so I’ll take Go Café vacuum insulated bottle with me for a walk, gym, travel, etc. Good quality products always make people continue to use them, just like Zojirushi products.

I love these Zojirushi insulated mugs. They literally never leak and they keep beverages hot and cold for an incredibly long time. I left my GoCafe mug with ice water overnight and there was still ice in it the next morning! I love the slightly brushed finish on the outside—the mug feels good to hold.

I received mine as a gift from my boyfriend and I love it. I put ice and seltzer in mine at the beginning of my shift and it still had ice in it the next day. I love the shape if it’s in my cupholder in the car, the lid Locking device was secure and the lip for sipping Is a perfect size it is sleek enough to fit in my work bag and the color is really pretty.

I tested this insulated mug as part of a promotion and I love it! The size is perfect for my small carry bag and the log ensures that the cap is not opened inadvertently. The mug has traveled with me and has never leaked - a real plus! I love the spout for drinking from the mug. The design allows easy drinking and is easy to clean. There are no straws to clean (yay!) and the mug is easy to refill by just removing the top without interference from straws, unlike other mugs. I used the mug primarily for water with ice, and the water stayed cold for hours. My daughter had one of the mugs and said it kept her coffee hot for hours. (Looks like a good Christmas present for her!). I will probably purchase a larger size for me - the smaller one is great for on the go, but for work, etc., a larger size will be better. The mug is really pretty too. Zojirushi designs and makes great products and this fits right in with good design, good function and good aesthetics.
