I've used this off and on for years and I'm so disappointed to realize that this contains talc (as well as parabens). Talc can potentially cause cancer because it can be contaminated with asbestos, a known carcinogen. This is especially dangerous to be in a powder we dust on our face, as the talc can be easily inhaled. I am so disappointed that I did not know about the dangers sooner and that this brand continues to use talc in 2025 when major brands like Johnson & Johnson have removed it from baby powder due to these cancer concerns.

I love this powder and it is not too cakey or thick. This cover just the right amount and at the price its amazing. I tried the translucent one first, but it looked white and possibly made me look like i had a problem when i put it over my nose lol, so i stopped using it and got the medium. love the quality!

I recently bought this powder, and it pleasantly surprised me. The texture is light and almost unnoticeable on the skin. It provides excellent mattifying effects without drying out the face. It applies evenly, doesn’t emphasize dryness, and doesn’t clog pores. The shade blends well with the skin tone and looks natural. It lasts quite a long time, keeping the makeup fresh for almost the whole day.The only downside is that the packaging could be a bit more convenient. But overall, I’m very happy with it! This powder has become one of my favorites.

As someone with VERY oily skin, I just don’t understand why anyone would want the “dewy” look that is all the rage. To me, it’s my normal skin which means that any makeup I apply will be sitting on my jawline about 30 minutes after applying. Basically, in my opinion dewy equates to oily. And it’s definitely not for me…which brings me to CoverGirl’s Clean Matte Pressed Powder. It’s fabulous for keeping my makeup in its place and keeping my oil at bay. Surprisingly it doesn’t leave a “dry” look or texture on my skin, it just leaves it looking fresh - like I just washed my face. I also like the scent which is reminiscent of refreshing and clean to me but not overpowering. I’m in my early 60s and have battled with oily skin since my teens, tried everything, and I always come back to my CoverGirl Matte Powder!!

She is tried and true! I’ve used this product since I was 13 and I’m 23 now! Over 10 years later and I still love this product. It has great coverage, is at a great price point and gives me the matte finish I was! It is a great product! It’s scent free and the packaging is easy to open!

Unfortunately, this powder didn’t work for me. It emphasizes every uneven texture on my skin and ends up looking cakey, almost like flour sitting on my face. I wasn’t a fan of the scent either, and the packaging feels a bit cheap, almost like a children’s toy. Overall, it didn’t meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I love that this powder is not so expensive but it just does the trick. It covers very nicely without giving that cakey appearance. It did however crack in the case, but I still love how it covers any blemishes and mats down the make up in the areas that is needed. Definitely recommend.

Not sure if I got a bad batch or not, but I found the pressed powder to be pretty chunky. It’s not as “pressed” as others and it’s made quite a mess while trying to apply. The chunky powder is not fine enough to blend well into my skin. I keep trying to make it work for me but haven’t found a good method yet.
