Q: Hi, the red light is on to indicate that the iron is heating up. But it stays on. How do I know that the temperature is reached or the light is supposed to turn off when the temperature is reached?

Q: I see a red tape, possibly a joint when the cord is fully pulled out. Anyone else see an electrical tape used to insulate joints at the very end or is mine used? I haven't removed the tape yet to see if it is indeed a joint as the iron worked fine.

    Pretty early on the retractable cord got tangled inside about halfway. It was still useable so I didn't bother returning it, though I should have. It bothers me a lot that there's no way to take apart the bottom section where the cord sits. I will continue to use it until it dies, but please make your items repairable!

If you can't add water without spilling everywhere, your steam iron just doesn't work for me. The iron's water well is too dark and you can't see how much water is being added causing you to overfill the iron. I've tried using a flashlight to illuminate the dark plastic water well while adding water and the plastic was still too dark to really see the water. There's too much to control, adding water, holding a flashlight and trying to see the water level is just too much to do to get water in this iron. The position of the temp control dial is always being bumped when in use. These two very inconvenient design flaws will force me to return the iron to the store. I have one question; Did anyone try using this iron before you put it on the market?

    The self retracting cord is stuck

    The self retracting cord has permanently retracted itself. It will no longer allow me to extend the cord to plug it in. The iron is now useless after almost only one year of use.
