Anti-drip is a lie and its ruining my clothes...
Supposed to be anti-drip…that’s all it does once warmed up and it drips and leaves brown water spots all over my clothes (I use distilled water to minimize ‘extra’ things in my water that could damage the iron or my clothes)…seems the B&D iron can do it all on its own. This is the second B&D iron I’ve purchased…same problems with the last one. This is the LAST B&D product I will ever purchase.

You can do better!
Terrible. Water is constantly leaking and leaves black marks on clothes. It’s like it gets stuck on the clothes for a moment as it’s damaging the material. Ruined a lot of my son’s uniform shirts. I’ve only had for a few months and I am searching for a new iron already.

I dont like this iron at all . the design is bad, it leaves the clothes wrinkles and the water leaks,..... would not recommend specifically at $ 30 .00 the $16 iron problably will do the same or better job!!

Poor design
The gray plastic water tank area is so dark you can’t see when it hits “max” so every time it overflows, such a pain. The temp dial is difficult to read and move. I’ve looked everywhere on your website for the ounces of water the iron holds thinking I will measure going forward but can’t find that specification. I will have to fill it, empty it, measure it so I can figure it out on my own. I plan to mark the setting on the dial with some sort of permanent marking (fingernail polish maybe) so I can see where I need to be. Poor design. Oh and remember to peel the plastic off the plate before you plug it in, sheesh. I nearly missed that bit.

Gets job done not long lasting read review
Iron worked normal, nothing special. My husband uses it daily. Occasionally when I used it, it would not wind up the cord all the way which annoyed me. But somehow my husband never had this issue.. so not the biggest problem. We’ve own this model for 2 1/2 years and it would not turn on today. Tried several times and it finally worked after a long time but it doesn’t turn on every time it’s plugged in now. I called B&D and they said warranty is 2 years on the iron. I share that for those thinking on purchasing this iron. Hold on to your receipt and keep an eye on any issues during the first 2 years. At the time it was $26.99, so for almost $30 it lasted 2 1/2yrs I guess not so bad which is why I knocked 2 stars off for not lasting a long time. Hope this helps others. The photos are from today showing what it looks like after 2 1/2 years. Good luck.

Do all of these come used? Both the original iron and the replacement have water droplets in the reservoir and burnt on something on the plates, but both irons have a zip tie thing on the plug. I dont get it!

Poor design of temp control
Poor design on the temp controls. Does what an iron should do, but the dial to set the temperature is grey with dark grey print. When combined with the way the dial sits in the shadow under the handle, you can’t see where the temp is set even when turning the device on its side in an attempt to read it easier. And the placement of the temp control is such that it is frequently moved simply by picking up and holding the iron.

Awful! Tried it on the cotton setting and it left a wierd streak. I had to wash my pants to ensure it didn’t stain. Also left a strange white residue when I tried ironing.

I went back to my roots with the Black & Decker, Lol. This is a good medium weight iron that produces GREAT steam and glides effortlessly!! This $30 iron is just as good as my previous $130 Rowenta iron and it has a retractable cord, which a plus plus!!! 10/10 I recommend 👌🏾

Good iron. Easy to fill, designed for tap water. Plate irons smoothly. Here is where it gets tricky: the retractable cord. The retractable cord is convenient and keeps the cord out of the way. This is also a downfall. The cord does not always retract completely and sometimes takes multiple tries. The cord can twist while retracting. This causes a bit of a jam. While neither of these are a major deal, it leads to a bigger problem. The “top edge” of the cord begins to get shredded. This will not be a long term usable iron…mine is a year or less old.
