Received this in a compacted state. After opening, it fluffed up a little. Instructions say to shake vigorously for 15 minutes. I shook it, my husband shook it. We left it laying out for 24 hours and every so often we would shake it. We tried shaking it together, from every side. The next day I took it outside and laid it on a sheet over a bush so the air and sunlight could help. I shook it periodically. I flipped it over. I shook it from all sides. My husband later helped again. It never fluffed out to the stated amount. Less than half of the height it should be. Not enough to make my mattress noticably softer. Very disappointed.

Very nice item and just as described. lt adds a welcome bit of plush to my firm mattress! Easy to place onto the bed with the deep elasticized skirt. lt slips around only a little bit, l think all mattress pads do that-- it mostly stays in place
