Glycolic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. This 7% toning solution offers mild exfoliation for improved skin radiance and visible clarity, while also improving the appearance of skin texture with continued use.
This formula contains a studied Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative to provide comforting benefits to the skin. It is further supported with inclusion of ginseng root and aloe vera for both visible radiance and soothing benefits.
This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6 and Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6. The pKa is the most important aspect to consider when formulating with acids as it implies acid availability. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing the effectiveness of the acid and reducing the potential of developing irritation. I use this on my face a few times a week at night after taking my makeup off and washing my face. It definitely gives that super clean feeling, probably from alcohol in it. I thought I'd try this one when I ran out of the regular brand I use. I didn't care for it at all. my face felt sticky and oily within minutes of application. I wasn't using too much and have never had issues with glycolic acid in the past. I'm 55 and do not have dry skin and avoid anything with extra moisturizing properties. I used The Ordinary retinol in the past and stopped it too when the formula changed. It also left my face oily and sticky. I'll stick with Pixi from now on.

This is a super versatile product that has many functions. I put it in my hair and leave it in for about 5-10 minute before washing my hair. It helps make my hair super clean and last much longer in between washes. I also use it instead of deodorant! It prevents in grown hairs and prevents body odor. Definitely buying again and again.

Ive been using this toner for years and it works great for my combination skin! When I feel adventurous to try new toners, they can never compare to the Ordinary! When forst using this product, it may burn a little, but your skin will adapt! After returning to this toner after trying new ones, just one use helps my skin to glow once again :)
