Not terrible, yet not great...
I love the CoverGirl brand and applaud them for going cruelty-free before so many other long established brands. Also many of their products are truly excellent. Their eyeshadow sticks are better than Bobbi Brown's or Laura Mercier's. But this mascara missed the mark for me. I got the dark brown shade (108?) - - a great color, not that weird warm reddish-brown that looks lousy on most people. But this formula irritated my eyes a little. (I do have very sensitive eyes.) Too much definitely comes off on the brush, but that happens with most mascaras; I just wipe the wand off with a tissue for the first ~5 uses on most new mascaras. I'm not returning this because I already used it. Maybe it'll work for you if your eyes aren't sensitive. On the plus side, I didn't have any clumping or flaking with this one.

Decent Mascara
I purchased this mascara is the Berry Brown shade, and the color is very soft, subtle, and pretty. Unfortunately I don’t love the formula or the wand. The shape of the wand doesn’t work great for me. I find the mascara itself goes on kind of wet and takes a while to dry. It does a good job of volumizing but doesn’t separate as well as I’d like. It feels like an average range mascara to me, although the color options are an added feature, and for the price it’s a pretty good value.

Very disappointed!!!
I am really disappointed with the CoverGirl Enhancer 3D Mascara. The formula is very wet, clumpy and takes forever to dry, which makes my lashes stick together and look messy. It also weighed my lashes down and didn't hold any curl or add length at all. Even though the mascara is really black and the price is affordable, the performance just isn't there. I wouldn't repurchase or recommend it.

Does not hold curl. If you have straight- curl resistant lashes- even if you use a curling wand before hand, this formula will weigh down the curl, resulting in straight lashes. Product does not do what it says it does, will go back to my telescopic lash mascara.

Messy!
I’m 43, have been using mascara since high school, this is the worst one I’ve ever used. For some reason it’s so messy! There will be a ring of mascara around where the lid & body connect. Kept having to wipe it off with a wet wipe. It gets all over your hands. I don’t get it. Never had that problem with others. Would not recommend this one.

Worst mascara ever!
Clumpy. Messy. Will never buy again. Had to throw away and buy something different. Did not lengthen my eyelashes. Do not recommend to anyone. Covergirl needs to do better. So disappointed.

I can’t say enough about this mascara! I wore Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara in Auburn years back before they stopped operations in the US. I have been on a search for literal years to find something comparable. I’ve tried it ALL: from high-end, pricey brands to drugstore options and everything in between. Nothing measured up. I’m a natural redhead and basic brown and black mascaras don’t cut it. I have tried products targeted at redheads with good color options but terrible formulas. I stumbled on this and literally thought “why not?” This is amazing. The color Berry Brown is spot on for me and my coloring and the formula is great as well. I haven’t had any trouble with smudging or flaking and it removes easily with my regular face wash and water. This is a total win for me. I can pick it up locally and it’s affordable. No more boring and plain brown mascaras!
