  • A: Yes — this bed frame can be used with an adjustable base. However, the slats are not removable. They’re secured with rubber locking grommets and designed to stay in place, so the frame is intended to be used with the slat support system installed.

Q: Can the rails on the bed be lowered, so the bed is not that high off the ground ?

Received damaged

Gave 2 stars as can't really say what the bed was like since the headboard / footboard pieces were dented. One rail had a dent in the middle, while three out of four of the head/footboard's piping was dented so the sections could not connect to other parts. Can't get replacement parts so packed it up, back downstairs and took it to Target for refund. (Target associate was great) It was probably damaged in FedEx shipping maybe the package was shipped/stored standing up instead of flat as it says on the box.. Frustrating as it will likely wind up as salvage. Now I need to get a refund on the insurance which Target can't help with and so far seems a hassle.
