    Gluten & Dairy Free Mac & Cheese is a new classic

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I followed the instructions for the Daiya Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese according to the instructions on the box. I cooked for 6 minutes, but could have gone for another 30 seconds & the elbows would have been perfect. The box calls for milk & butter & in a note recommends dairy-free milk and dairy-free butter. I didn't have dairy-free milk on hand, so I prepared it with whole milk & dairy-free butter. It was hard to believe that the "aged cheddar" packet didn't have cheese in it. The ingredient list looks good, especially compared to the classic, wheat & dairy brand. It does have the same amount of sodium. I don't often crave Mac & Cheese, but when I do, I'll look for the Daiya brand.

    Getting very popular

I bought their shredded cheese before and they melt amazingly. So I was very happy to try this mac and cheese. It was very easy to make. It saved my day when I had to whip up a quick dinner. I highly recommend this pasta for super healthy and simple meal prep.

    Good plant based/vegan alternative
