You’ve lost a brand Promoter by removing SPF
This product USE to be amazing when it was moisturizing, healing AND provided sun protection (SPF) Removing the sun protection is crazy - no reason to take it out! I’ll be buying ChapStick now! You had a better product, brand loyalty & passionate Promoters … and now - it’s lesser for no reason! BAD business decision - Product and/or Marketing VP’s should be fired! Seriously! (And yes, I have already bought ChapStick w/ SPF in it!)

Where did SPF go?
Why would you remove the spf from this product? It was my main reason for buying.

Just another lip balm after removing SPF
I have used the DCT with spf since the 80’s. It was the best. No other product compared. I put it in my kids stockings every Christmas! Now it’s just another lip balm. Won’t purchase again unless they add the spf protection back.

SPF removed
I've been using this product for 25+ years. I was extremely disappointed when the SPF was removed as it was my go to for sun protection on my lips. I still use this at night as it does moisturize well. Please bring the SPF back to make the my FAVORITE again.

Sunblock no more!
I have been using and recommending Blistex DCT for over 25 years. It is the best moisturizer out there. One thing I especially liked about it was that it was also a sun screen. For some reason, it no longer has sunscreen in it. I’m very disappointed.

Deep Moisturizing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well loved since I received it. Have used almost the whole pot. It is extremely moisturizing and perfect for everyday use. It spreads very easily and is great to throw in any bag. Leaves a nice comfortable layer on your lips without being too heavy.

Heal
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really dry lips due to medicine side effects and this helps heal the cracks. Love the ease of the twist top tube. Work well and I will keep buying.

No SPF 😡
I have used Blistex DCT sunproof 20 since approximately 1986/1987, seriously. I absolutely loved the spf in it. Only brand that worked for me and my lips were kissable soft, never burnt. I stocked up, thank God. Bought it even when I didn't need it. Until the last two years Blistex has put me on a wild goose chase ordering from different places with the promise of sunproof only to find out....they don't make it anymore!!! Why Blistex!!???? Why????? 😫😫 PLEASE BRING BACK DCT WITH SUNPROOF 20!!! PLEASE!!!! I'm rating a 3 because of the moisture it does provide but I would not recommend to a friend w/o the sunproof.

New Formula without SPF
Quite disappointed with the removal of the SPF in this product - its been a go-to for my entire family for years (since I was a child and my aunt recommended it to me due to the SPF). The feel of the product on my lips has changed as well. Think I'll be moving to a brand who can deliver on the SPF factor and quite shocked that Blistex would fiddle with the good formula they had before.

Minus the SPF
I used DCT for years, day and night, and was very pleased with the protection it supplied...until an SPF was added. I happened to be allergic to that particular SPF (octyl methoxycinnamate, also known as octinoxate). Had to switch to other lip protectants, none of which were anywhere as effective as DCT. Now I'm very happy the SPF was removed. I simply add a bit of sunscreen of my choice on my lips after applying DCT. My wish now is that DCT could be dispensed from a tube rather than a pot. Wish sunscreens would be removed from all products and if necessary, replaced with sunblocks; octinoxate is a commonly used SPF and cinnamate is a known allergen.

Lost A Customer
If I could have given negative stars I would have! I have used this product for 25+ years. My ONLY lip product. NOTHING COMPARED. I would buy it up and had back stock that I used up and had to purchase a new pot. I could tell immediately that this was junk. It has a horrible stickly lip feel that never goes away. Not moisturizing at all. It just sits there like wax on your lips doing nothing. I ending up wiping it off, did enough research to discover the formulation change, and threw it away. BRING BACK THE WONDERFULLY SUPERIOR PRODUCT I REMEMBER AND USED FOR LITERAL DECADES!!! Until you do that, you have lost me forever. I know the loss of my measly purchase won't matter to your bottom line. But it will matter to me.

Removed SPF?????
Why would you remove sun protection and make the change so subtle? I recently used my trusty DCT on a bot trip, only for my lips to become extremely swollen and blistered from the sun. I did not initially see that sun protectant was removed! Why would you do such a thing? SPF is so important and the original formula has been loved by many for years and years. I have been using DCT since I was small, genuinely from my first year of primary school. This has always been a product with a good reputation, perfect for hot climates, beach days and general daily wear. You have ruined the product!

Helpful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving this lip renewal it is definitely amazing. Since it has been cold and windy here it has helped so much lips feel great. Packaging was eye catching. The sent is not overwhelming.

Excellent for dry lips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent balm for dry and cracked lips This Blistex treatment smells mainly like cocoa butter with a hint of medicine. I think that comes from the menthol and the camphor in the ingredients but it isn't overpowering. I use it mainly when my lips are dry but I also put it on a couple of dry patches on some scars I have. It really does moisturize nicely and lasts a long time. I love being able to just put the lid back on to keep it sealed. If you are looking for a lip balm that actually works and makes cracked lips hurt less, then this is your product.

Use with caution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always liked Blistex overall. The only thing I don't like is the little tingle you get if it gets in your mouth, however it works great for chapped lips.

Hydrating with numbing effect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fragrance free, clear balm that’s hydrating. It leaves an interesting numbing effect on the lips for a few minutes. Still able to apply throughout the day.

An Old Faithful!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a lip balm/treatment fiend so I was so excited to add this one to my arsenal. It’s in a pot so it’s not great for throwing in my purse but it’s perfect for a spot on my bedside table. It has that very classic Blistex smell that’s a little medicinal but not unpleasant with a touch of cocoa butter scent and it’s a very emollient, thick balm that actually stays on my lips for longer than a few minutes. It tingles a little (probably from the camphor and menthol) but it’s not too thick or goopy. It’s quite lightweight and I’ve used it to prime my lips in the morning while getting ready and it’s never caused me any issues. It’s smooth without being greasy and I’m excited to see how it stacks up against the cold weather coming up in the next few months. Overall, I think it’s a great product but I definitely want to test it when my lips really need it to see how it compares. I docked a star for the scent because sometimes it can be a bit intense for people sensitive to smells. Despite that, I’ve enjoyed this so far! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Good lip balm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im usually not a fan of lip balms that I have to use my fingers to apply as I find them not too hygienic, however the way this one leaves my lips sorta makes up for that. My lips dry up pretty quickly and I have to reapply but thats with most lip balms, this one does its job just fine.

Shame on you Blistex for removing the SPF
I am gutted that I can no longer find Blistex DCT containing SPF. This product is the only product that helps me keep cold sores at bay, and I find sun brings them on, hence why I loved the product (when it contained the SPF). Now that there is no SPF in this daily lip protectant, there is no protection at all, and no longer serves a purpose for me.
