  • A: If you have the 2-stage option there will be a tag on the mattress that shows infant vs toddler. It looks like you have the single stage, which would be the same on both sides, either side is fine for an infant or toddler.

  • A: Hi as I understand it the filling is organic cotton but it is wrapped in food grade polyethylene which makes it waterproof. I did a lot of research before buying this mattress and I consider it nontoxic. I really like that it’s waterproof and I didn’t have to buy a separate cover. Baby is 20 months now and sleeps great on this mattress. My only complaint would be she tends to get sweaty in warm weather.

It was exactly what I expected and wanted

The mattress arrived timely in great shape. The mattress fits very snugly in the crib as it should. The standard crib sheets I purchased work very well as do the mattress protectors. Only complaint is that there are way too many mattress tags.

Baby mattress

This is an amazing mattress for a crib. My daughter has 8 children and bought this for her second baby and used it for the next seven. It was still sitting in great condition and gave it to a friend. I just bought one for my son's new baby.

Great natural materials, but...

I appreciate all the natural materials used in making this mattress, but that waterproof encasement (which is not removable) is horribly stiff and hard to the touch. My baby was not sleeping well at all, and he is a great sleeper! I had to put some kind of cushioning between the mattress and mattress cover just so it wouldn't feel like he is sleeping on a "plasticky" feeling hard surface. Now he sleeps good again.

Wish I ordered sooner

Mattress sunk in the middle

3/5 stars. It's a decent mattress but my baby is only 4 months old and is around the 50th percentile, but the mattress has already started to sink in the middle. Would expect more integrity given the price point.

My only complaint: want a label to discern the sides

Awesome mattress! I spent a long time looking for the best non fox mattress and landed on this one! Only complaint is that it is hard to discern the two sides to the mattress- the harder and the softer, no matter how I or my husband try! Maybe I'm missing a label but one if there is not one, I would suggest to make one! Or a symbol of newborn vs older baby (crawling baby vs swaddled baby?). Otherwise it's awesome!

Amazing Bed!

The bed is well made and comfortable enough for my baby. I docked one star due to customer service. When I placed my order there was an issue with my address, and they didn't even reach out to me to iron out the issue. I didn't like that. If I hadn't been following it closely and noticed that something was wrong when I didn't receive a confirmation (but money was withdrawn), My money would've been taken and My child would've been left without a bed. When I reached out to customer service, they were helpful to fix the issue. I would just recommend to stay on top of everything. If you are missing a confirmation email, reach out to customer service as soon as possible. I love the clean ingredients in the manufacturing process, really helps me sleep with more peacefully knowing she is not sleeping on toxic materials. Will be purchasing from this company as she grows.

Not comfortable for my child

Mattress is too firm. My child will literally sleep on any other mattress besides this crib mattress. Bought this very expensive mattress thinking this would be best for my child but have had many sleepless nights. Will be buying another mattress at a fraction of the cost.
