It leaks! More specifically, it dribbles liquid down the side from the large button after each sip. I had high expectations for this commuter mug given the many positive reviews and ratings. It's hugely disappointing: hard to drink from (which I could get around), but also dribbles liquid down the side from the button at the end of each sip. Not sure if mine is simply defective, but this is a show-stopper. I'll be returning it and looking to a different brand.

It’s really amazing it keeps any liquid warm or cold and it great to travel with and transfer liquids and it’s really easy to clean and it’s leak proof so no liquid escapes and it lasts a good couple of years even with drops and scraped

I have had multiple travel mugs with West Loop original and 2.0 versions. The one-hand operation is by far the simplest and easiest to operate yet keeps the contents in the mug. I have checked and have not found a competitor to the lid functionality. The original West Loop lids would only last a few years before the button would break but 2.0 seems to be much better. Unfortunately the plastic cannot withstand a direct drop to a hard surface when full of coffee and the "rubber" seal at the spout can wear and drip (luckily there are 3rd party seals available on Amazon). The stainless steel body are basically indestructible except I have had a few that had problems with the paint chipping off near the top during hand washing. In the past replacement lids were available for purchase which allowed me to still use my 15 year old stainless steel body (some worn paint) still in 2025.

Have had a Contigo West Loop for almost ten years but it’s getting banged up. Ordered a new 16oz and the quality has really declined. The metal is thinner, I can feel the mug flex in my hand when I squeeze it to pick up. The plastic on the top also feels lower quality too

The Contigo West Loop Thermal Mug keeps drinks hot all day. Many times I have to unscrew the cap just to cool beverages down. I like the lock functionality and the button to drink. It easily fits in a cup holder and the purple color really makes it pop.

Great design, I love the lid and how well it does not leak. However, after having this cup for about 2 1/2 months, using it daily during the week to hold hot tea, the inside is ruined. I thought it was just tea stained, but after further inspection I discovered it was actually rust! The coating has disintegrated!!! 🫣

Going back to my regular coffee cup. Wanted something i could put in my robe pocket to free up a hand for holding onto the stair railing. This thing leaks somewhere, leak accumulates at bottom. Don't think you can sip coffee normally with thing, maybe you suck it like it's a straw, what a joke. Going in the trash.

I have three in rotation for over 10 years and still have the originals! They have sustained drops & rolls. The lock button comes in clutch. Never had a leak! Easy to clean- I don't have a cast in any of them on the inside

This has been my go to mug for years. It is the best one I got. Good size fit for the car. Kept ice and for 48 hours. Still quite cold in outside temp of 90F. Never leaked. And easy to clean.

I’ve been using this mug for about a year and it’s my go-to travel mug. Keeps drinks hot for a long time, almost too hot- have to let my coffee sit with the lid off for about 10 minutes so it’s drinkable. One downside is that the lid is difficult to clean. Gunk builds up in the lid and it’s difficult to remove unless you have a small brush
