A: Yes you can, drinks stay cold for 24 hours and hot for 6 hours because of the double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel.

Q: Can both the bottle and the top pieces be put in the dishwasher? I’ve read that a dishwasher can ruin the inside of an insulated bottle and I just want to be sure not to ruin it.

Q: Can I also use this for hot liquids? The inside of the packaging says “not intended for hot liquids” but on the contigo website for this product, it says “ Drinks stay cold for 24 hours and hot for 6 hours”

it leaks from between the lid and bottle, I took the lid off and re sealed it multiple times and it continues to leak.

Best bottles I have ever had.
I have several bottles. Two 20 ounce stainless bottles for water ( and two extra to rotate in the dishwasher). Plus a 32 ounce bottle to use for tea, lemonade, punch. Whatever other beverage I drink. I do not drink carbonated beverages, so these bottles are perfect. The handle broke on one of my lids, and I can't find out how to buy replacement lids on their website.

Love this bottle!!! I went back and bought 1 for everyone in my family! It's a perfect quick button to open. Opens every time, no sticking. Also the wide mouth quick flow opening is awesome! Just right to get to your water fast and into your mouth. I don't like straws or twist tops. Too much work for a quick drink. Great size, sturdy and well balanced. I’m so disappointed that this doesn’t hold hot liquids and even more disappointed that there was no way for me to know this until after I purchased and removed the label. It doesn’t say anywhere except the inside of the label. Love that the whole product is dishwasher safe though. The spout looks easy to clean too.

Love this bottle. Perfect for a germaphobe!
I can add some ice and water to the bottle at night, and have ice and water ready for the gym. The bottle cover closes the area where my mouth goes which is perfect when people are coughing. The bottle is wide enought to clean well, and not only is the bottle dishwater top-rack safe, the top is wide enough to hand clean. Best water bottle I've had!

I love this! Good size, super easy to clean. The lid handle is a bit weak and broke on one of the ones we bought. I wish we could replace just the lid. I also wish it were thinner on the bottom for the car cup holder, but it holds a good amount of water and the pop lid is perfect for us!

Best water bottle for keeping drinks cold all day!
I can fill this bottle about 1/2 way with ice and top off with water. If unopened, 12 hours later it will still have ice! The more you open it, and the more you drink from it, the more room temperature air you are letting in. If you leave the top open or drink 3/4 of it then leave it for 12 hours, no, you will not still have nice ice cold water. Someone else mentioned that it would not pop open on it's own sometimes. That is true but it's for a very good reason. As ice melts, it decreases in mass which creates a vacuum inside the bottle. The bottle seals so well, no air can get in. When you try to open it, you have to break that low pressure hold. The lock is equally as impressive. I put soda in it once (don't do that). When I popped the top it blew off like a firecracker went off under it and soda went everywhere. The lock and the seal held that well against the increased pressure of the carbonation. Alas, I dropped it or something because the bottom has a ding in it and I am afraid it will scratch my tables plus the handle broke. Don't use the inside of the handle to tighten the top. It puts stress where it's not designed to have stress and will break the rivet. I will be purchasing a new one now.

Mold inside the lid and this rubber piece won’t come off for cleaning. Bottle is only 4 weeks old (Christmas gift) and has only been used for water. Disappointing!
