I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’m having the hardest time assembling these chairs. I’m on the first chair and it’s taking me forever. 4 Of the holes do not align with where they are supposed to attach to another part, therefor I can’t screw them in. And in some areas where you have to screw something in, there’s another piece of wood blocking you so it’s very hard to use the Allen wrench. Really not a fan although I like the way they look but I’m not sure I’m going to be able to use them.

Beautiful, comfortable, smooth swivel. Took WAY too long to assemble, over an hour per chair. But that's why it was so affordable. Regardless, we love them! Highly recommend.

These stools are not gray. They are a distressed wood with no hint of gray. Also I ordered 4 stools at the same time. To date (2 weeks after my order) I received one stool, then 4 days later got 2 more. One of the boxes was totally destroyed . I’m still waiting for one more. Will probably return due to misrepresentation of the color. They were sturdy and easy to put together.

I love these barstools! They arrived sooner than expected which was great because we used them right away. I found the same stools through several vendors but chose to order through Target as they had the best price (plus 5% with my red card) and I knew I'd be able to return them with no hassle if they didn't work out. Luckily they were just what I needed! I give them 4 stars because they were time consuming to put together- an hour each and I bought 4- but hopefully this means they will hold up. I would change the review to 5 stars if they do hold up over time. I hope they do! They are very comfortable and I love the swivel.

The stools looked great, if only they didn't start falling apart after 2 months of weekend use. The screws started to fall out, I tightened them, only for the wood to crack. The fabric started to pile as well. These are not built to last.

The chairs are an excellent value. They are very sturdy and comfortable. The gray driftwood finish works great in our beach house and the woven upholstery will be easy to clean. Be aware the finish has a great deal of brown tones, so do not expect truly gray chairs. The assembly is challenging. My husband and I have experience in furniture assembly and possess a full set of wrenches in varying sizes. Some of the areas to be assembled are not easy to access, so it is best to work on assembly until one or two steps are completed-take a break-then go back to assembly. The first chair assembly is a learning experience. Subsequent chairs assembly much quicker. The protective strip on the metal footrests leave a very sticky coating when pulled off. I used Goof Off to remove it-lamp oil would also do the trick. The finished product makes the assembly challenge worthwhile. We love the chairs and highly recommend their purchase.

These counter stools are amazing. They are sturdy and super comfortable. I would describe the wood as a taupe or greige color. That color tone is absolutely perfect for my home and works beautifully with the warm grays we have. The nail head trim is antique bronze and makes the bar stool look far more expensive than it is. I saw this exact counter stool at another on-line retailer for nearly $100 more (I purchased while on sale). The fabric is a heavy weight upholstery which appears will hold up well. It has more cream/brown warm tones than a true gray. Again, perfect for me. It's the perfect mix of a modern classic. If you like more of a classic french look, this is perfect. It will work with many styles including the popular farmhouse but with softness. Hands down the best counter stool I've ever purchased. As a side note: I purchased these bar stools along with the french bistro x-back chair in Acorn finish from Target. While the wood on each does not match perfectly they are very close and nobody would ever notice the difference. So happy Target carries great furniture.

Love the chairs. We were able to easily assemble the item and chair seems somewhat sturdy. We do hear some creeks when sitting on the chairs hence the lower rating on quality.
