Definitely not cool or breathable.
Despite what the description here says, these socks are currently 98% Polyester, 1% Spandex, 1% Nylon. My feet feel instantly hot when I put them on, which is not good in warm weather or any athletic activity. Hanes is apparently cheaping out and trying to get away with not having cotton in their socks. The package says "Cool. Dry. Breathable." They are none of those things. If you want that, it's simple: buy socks that are at least majority cotton.

I ordered these 3 weeks ago in white and they were majority cotton with a little polyester. I really liked them so I ordered another package. This one shows up 98% polyester 2% spandex. They are the EXACT same socks/style/sizes, except the cotton is swapped out for polyester. I wanted cotton so I'll be returning them. This is the state of Target.

Picture clearly shows several pairs of crew socks. Verbiage in description say "ankle" socks. I thought they would be like the picture and ordered them. They are now crew socks, they're ankle socks. And size says 12-14. They are a 12 max. I'm a 14 and they are way too small for me. Frustrating.
