Stella d'oro fudge cookies
I bought 2 packages online ..these are my favorite cookies and are hard to find. I received the correct cookies, but they were hard and dried out/stale. I was disappointed they were soft and fresh, but like I said they are hard to find and I still ate them. Gently, as to not break a tooth. This low rating is not for the cookies taste, but for the arrival of the cookies state. I'm should have checked for the expiration date, maybe they were not rotated properly. I don't know.

The Good Stuff! Stella Doro Swiss Fudge Cookies
As I haven't been able to find thse in any grocery store in my area and they don't carry them at my local target, I order them online along wth multiple boxes of Mallomars. These were a family favorite but then we relocated and couldn’t find these at any grocery stores for close to 20 years. I love that I can now order them from Target.com although they are almost always out of stock. The cookie centers aren’t as rich as I recall and the cookie part tastes a little sweeter. It’s pretty close but not quite the same. Still it’s nice to have something I hadn’t had in a very long time.

Good, but not as "fudgy" as they used to be
Stella D'Oro makes good cookies, but the chocolate part of these has definitely deteriorated - probably caving to pressure to make them "healthier" : o The cookie part is great, but the chocolate dot (that used to be my favorite part) has a very stiff, almost "plastic-y" consistency. Seriously, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
