While the wood seems solid and sturdy, the pilot holes weren't the right size and I stripped two screws in the base when I tried to assemble it. (The Allen wrench almost seemed just a tad too small for the socket, adding to the problem.) I returned it as defective.

Buy metal instead

Buy the metal instead. It was a great coat rack, but broke easily due to the wood. I think it just needs a metal structure to support the weight. Buy metal!!!

Assembly was quite fiddly and confusing, and I struggled to tighten one of the legs properly so it was initially quite wonky until I spent some more time fixing it. I’m now a bit worried about overloading it in case it slouches again. For the moment, it looks nice, does the job, and fits all the coats/bags I needed it to.

Nice but frustrating

Top piece will not tighten onto bottom half. Had to purchase plumbers tape to put around screw threads to tighten. NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY. would have helped since the three feet were each aligned differently.
