Who wants "Blue Iron"!!!Color of iron deceiving in photo and description
I gave this a one star due to deception of color! I finally found what I thought would be the perfect shelf for my space- it arrived in excellent condition, BUT the iron is Blue!!! I dislike this blue tone! Description says Pewter... its not! And the photo on line shows the color of wood and description to be much darker than what it really is. I didn't want Blue Iron... could live with the lighter wood, and style is nice. I want to take it back but its a pain in the butt to put it back in the package!

We ultimately bought two, and they weren't too difficult to put together, don't weigh too very much and are pretty attractive in an industrial kind of way, and for a very reasonable price. We're using two of these bookcases for storing shoes, boots, as well as folded wraps and bags in our "dressing room" (a small bedroom without a bed in it), since regular shoe storage units seem to be too small and flimsy. It's also helpful to be able to easily see and pick out what we want from all of these things. These items are all pretty difficult to put away, to see, and to retrieve if they're on the top shelves of a standard built-in closet, which is where we were keeping them before. These two bookcases are working out just fine.

As I was unpacking the pieces, I was thinking to myself, "Wow, this looks like it's going to be nicer than I expected." The metal is sturdy and the wooden shelves are nice quality. Then, I realized that the 2 pieces that make the "X" shapes in the back are missing. DRAT. Mail order strikes again.

Easy to put together. Although, one tip: Place the shelves within the frame before you begin tightening the screws on the shelves. Frame was slightly bent in a few places, but it plays to the rustic effect. The metal frame was quite a bit bluer than I expected, but still looks good. Overall, the look is very nice.

Good wood shelves
These shelves look good and were pretty easy to put together. The shelves are real wood and great for that industrial or rustic feel. There were a couple of screw attachments that were a little crooked, but we made them work. Also, the shelf has a bit of a blue tone up close. This worked for our room, but just something to note if you are looking for jet black.

Great shelving but agree with previous review, one dent in the metal support, not enough to send it back. The color of the metal has a blue hue to it, I like it but it may not be to everyone's taste. Shelves are wood and nicely constructed You can not change the height of the shelves.

These shelving units look nice and hold a lot of books.They are very sturdy. I especially like that each unit sits on eight feet, making the shelves very stable. They were easy to put together. Our only problem is that one of the units arrived with a dent in the metal support on the side. The defect wasn't large enough to make us send the shelves back, but is annoying.
