  • A: Hi Kaylyn! To have the water come out of the hose, you first fill the tank with water (the tank is under the grey lid on top of the truck), then use the pump behind the truck's cabin. Great fire truck but a bit finicky

Overall a great toy! The siren is hit and miss on the steering wheel if it works. Lifting and lowering the ladder is very difficult with the wheel and clicks like there's something that needs to be released, we haven't figured out if there is. We worried about breaking it. The tube is very difficult to wind and unwind and if you wind it without holding a reserve if tube initially, it pinches the tube so you can't pump it. The plug on the water tank drain is also finicky, you have to pull up hard and don't drive it over any bumps Or it will unplug and dump water out the bottom. not an inside toy.

Just the hose is bothering us

It’s so hard to wind up and unwind the hose! Otherwise, it’s a great toy. His favorite thing about the truck is that “it shoots water very far” - his words, not mine.

Can withstand rough play!

Defective

Totally disappointed! Purchased this fire truck as a Christmas gift for my 4 yr old grandson who loves fire trucks, needless to say, it does not work. In fact, I am concerned that it has wiring issues and could be a fire hazard. I put batteries in it, the lights and sounds did not work, but the batteries got extremely hot. I tried two different brands of batteries and got the same results. I wanted to take it to the store to return it but my grandson doesn’t understand why I am trying to take his fire truck that Santa Claus gave to him. So now he has a fire truck with no lights or sounds. I will superglue the battery cover shut so he doesn’t try to put batteries in it.
