Raos Homemade Marinara sauce ruined our pasta dinner. It tasted very bitter, like vinegar, so the entire meal was inedible. The expiration date is 2027. (Very hard to see, printed tiny black, on a dark green lid) customer service will report it to their “quality team”, and send us a coupon for a replacement product.

Price is what you'd get on sale! Also the quality, ingredients, and taste is WAY better than other well known brands. This brand is recommended by my dietician and nutritionist (I see both). Lowest sugar content, trust the brand, and they have a gut-sensitive one.

There used to be my favorite. Super clean. Now it has “olive oil” not extra virgin olive oil; and I’ve heard the Costco version has “refined olive oil” which very poor quality. Please put back top ingredients?

Very rich sauce. I liked how fresh it tasted. They are a little pricey but worth it, same size as a regular sauce. If you are making pizza use this one instead of their pizza sauce.
Way too much sodium!!!!

Why all the salt? You say you only use tomatoes, garlic, spices, but your salt content prevents me from purchasing. I'll shop around

Absolutely love the flavor of this sauce! Love that it's not chunky at all. Love how simple the label is, not busy and the different flavors are clear to read. Great value for the price point.

Rao’s Marinara Sauce is incredibly flavorful and tastes homemade. The ingredients are high quality, with no artificial aftertaste—just fresh tomato, garlic, and herbs. It’s perfect on pasta, pizza, or as a dipping sauce. A little pricier, but absolutely worth it for the taste. Highly recommended!
Dill Weed?

I always buy Rao’s marinara sauce, but the last three times the sauce tasted different, like it had dill weed in it- not happy with that at all- gonna find another quality brand!!! Why in the heck would they want to change a good recipe? Maybe someone responsible doesn’t know the difference between dill & oregano? 👎🤢

Sauce is ruined! Your company totally changed the recipe for the worse! It tastes like tangy watery tomato paste or cheap pizza sauce… whatever it is, it’s terrible and I actually had to throw the jar out. So disappointing that you ruined the best jar of sauce that ever existed. shame on the person in your company who made this decision. Raos marinara sauce officially is the worst now. Do NOT say that you did not change the recipe, because you did and the sauce tastes absolutely nothing like it did in the past before Campbell’s bought it. Shame on this company for doing that.

This is the best sauce available! Very flavorful, great ingredients. Taste very much like homemade, it is a little pricy compared to others but worth it. The spicy arrabbiata is best!

I finally gave in to the hype around Rao’s Homemade Marinara Sauce — and now I completely understand why it has such a cult following. This sauce tastes like something straight out of a high-end Italian kitchen. It’s rich, vibrant, and incredibly fresh. The ingredient list is clean and simple — just tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, onions, and a few herbs — and you can taste the quality in every bite. No sugar, no fillers, just real, honest flavor. The tomatoes are clearly top-notch, with a natural sweetness and acidity that don’t need masking. It’s versatile too — I’ve used it on spaghetti, eggplant parm, homemade pizza, and even as a base for shakshuka. Every time, it elevates the dish. It’s pricier than some other sauces, but you’re paying for quality, and honestly, it saves me time from making marinara from scratch. If you’re looking for a jarred sauce that actually delivers on flavor and authenticity, Rao’s is absolutely the gold standard. I’ll never go back to anything else.
