Small child desk

My granddaughter is 18 months and loves her desk. The top is a little difficult to lower once up, but at least it doesn’t flop down. I had difficulty getting the screws al the way tightened down.

Dont buy

Literally took me hours to try to put together because the screws won’t fit like they should and I don’t have any spare screws in the house, beware. I also had to take the top off and still didn’t help.

Beautiful & Affordable, but has design flaws

I gave 1 star each for the beautiful finished product, affordability, and customer service. I knocked off 2 stars for the design flaws and hassle. As previous reviews have stated, the predrilled holes in the chair did not match the provided hardware. I contacted Melissa & Doug’s customer service, who set me another hardware set. The new hardware set also did not match the predrilled holes. I contacted customer service again, who set me a brand new set which luckily did not have the same design flaw. I’m very happy with the finished product.

This desk is cute BUT it is very difficult to put together. The hardware does not fit into the drilled holes , screws are hard to get in. I bought 2 desks and had to return both as they would not go together. Even had a carpenter friend look at it Poor design. I called Melissa and Doug directly. They were no help. Told me to take it back to Target. They did not want to send me replacement pieces or hardware without a big process. Poor customer service on their part.

Terrible Quality Control

I was impressed with this item when unboxing it, but the lack of quality control on the parts needed to assemble it was awful. The barrel nuts needed to assemble the chair simply did not fit into the holes drilled for them. The screws did not line up with their holes either. The directions were simple and clear, which made the fact that the parts didn't fit together all the more frustrating.

Perfect for my little artist!

This is a wonderful desk. Perfect for the little artist in my life. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The lift top has a wonderful hinge that will keep little fingers safe. The desk holds a good supply of markers, crayons, paper and glitter.
