In manufacturing of this item we made sure that this item does follow Stats of California guidelines, and will not expose you to any chemicals, and therefore safe to use. Please be informed that the reason why it will not expose you to chemicals is the quantity of the lead content in the stain used. As per the State of California guidelines the lead content cannot exceed 90 ppm (0.009% by weight), what we make sure to follow while manufacturing the item. This low presence of chemicals used is not harmful and safe to use. We hope this satisfies your respective query. Thanks

    I purchased the distressed black ottoman. It's nice and extremely easy to assemble, just take it out of the box and screw on the four legs. No tools needed. There was a squiggly mark inside the ottoman I saw after I set it up and opened the inside. I was sent a used product - a first for Target.

    Nice faux leather. Well protected by transpo carton. Easy assembly was simply to screw in the feet; no screwdriver required. However, it is not all that easy to open the lid as there is no loop or recessed finger hole to grab.

    Bed bench

    We just replaced our mattress set and found that our dog was having a harder time jumping up. He normally sleeps with us so we looked at various options to help him. this unit was about half the height difference so we placed an order our dog now finds very easy to jump on top of the unit then jump onto the bed. We placed a blanket on top of unit and have found him sleep on top of unit
