Don't buy this
Difficult locking mechanism. It takes a few tries to lock and unlocked after entering the code. Features a cheap plastic handle you have to jiggle to get it to open. Inside is too narrow to fit the many of the things I needed to store. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Safe door broke

Safe won’t lock or unlock
Should have read the comments before purchasing. The safe takes at least a half dozen tries to lock when closing the door and a half dozen tries to get the door unlocked after successfully entering the code. You have to violently jiggle the cheap plastic handle to get it to register. Not worth the time trying to get the safe to work as intended. Already returned.

Holds moisture
I brought this safe to put funds to the side for just in case purposes. I started noticing my money feeling moist. After over looking the moist bills for a few weeks I return back to the safe and notice furry green mold starting to form on the money. No matter where I place the safe it still holds moisture inside. I can’t store valuables without furry green stuff forming on it. I have to now buy another safe.

Dear Tee, Thank you for your feedback. Waterproof Fire Chests should be opened and aired out for at least 30 minutes every week to prevent any build up of moisture inside. It is recommended to occasionally do this for longer periods. This will balance the humidity difference inside and outside and allow any excess moisture trapped inside to escape. Please be aware the safe includes a 7 year warranty.

Door won't lock when it's closed. and yes the key is in the lock position.

Not even worth the sale price
It wouldn’t let me change the pass code, the door sticks forcing you to jiggle the handle just to get the thing open, and it only locks maybe half the time. I would BY NO MEANS trust this thing with important documentation, and I will absolutely be returning this as soon as possible.

Not waterproof!
This safe is not waterproof. We opened the safe after not doing so for a few months and found some cash was damp, as well as some drops of water in the back. My husband thinks he may have spilled a glass of water near it at some point, but otherwise we haven’t been able to explain the moisture.

Misleading box! Be careful!
Purchased this because I thought it had five hours of fire protection Because the box makes it appear like there are 5 hours of fire protection but apparently it is only 30 minutes because the inside of the safe actually is written out as 30 not .5 We think this is very deceptive. Or else why wouldn’t they have said 30 minutes on the outside of the box like they did on the inside. I’m so glad my husband took a closer look on the inside of the safe. Fires burn far longer than a half hour. This would have been a total loss! Honeywell you need to look into this! Disappointing!

Waterproof? - Humidity proof?
I purchased this "safe" about a year ago to hold sensitive papers, passports, etc. I admit I rarely comment on a product when its designed well and it does its job. I also rarely comment when a product is designed ok and it does its job. When I first purchased it, I did some shopping and went for this safe, what struck me odd was the weight. I had a safe before (similar size and I couldn't move it alone). But the weight wasn't why I'm giving the 1 star. I hardly open the safe, each time I did was to add more paperwork, expecting that everything would be "safe" When I opened it recently (about 2 days ago) I noticed that the papers were moist, the passports were warped. It looks like humidity, but I can't see how that can be - as my home is pretty dry during the year and (not sure if this was the issue) I had left the anti-humidity packet in the case.
