Hathaway Spartan 6' Pool Table with Table Tennis Conversion Top - Black

The pool table was damaged when I received it.

Delivery: Table came on time and was packaged very well. No damage or broken / missing parts. The whole thing was closer to 180 lbs though. Setup: It was a breeze to set up, since all you have to do is to attach the legs and levelers. Appearance & build quality: This table looks much better than the price and both the playing surface, rails and chrome corners looks nice in person. The chrome plated corners actually felt like plastic though. So did the leveling feet. The pockets are made of hard rubber and one of the ones we had came distorted / out of shape. They are small and can hold (maybe) 4 balls at a time. While the red felt looks plush at first sight, it does show scruff marks, specially the area where you make break shots. Accessories: The balls it came with appear slightly smaller than regulation and the included cues are peacemeal at best. You would want to invest in some decent cues and perhaps a larger brush (to keep the surfacte clean) Playability: This is perhaps the biggest drawback for me. While I did not expect this board to be as fast as a slate table, I did expect the playing surface to be flat and even. There are parts of the table where, If you hit anything with low power, you can litterally see the cue ball (or object ball) swerve on its own. This makes playing safeties or delicate shots impossible. And I did test to make sure the table was level. You will need to maintain a decent amount of power to ensure the balls dont swerve along the way. The rubber using on the rails appear very accurate and bank shots are easy to make. However, given the uneven playing surface, this is a hard purchase to recommend. Specially given the effort it takes to set it up and then return if something isn't upto spec. If you are just in the market for some casual pool, this will certainly fit the bill. But if you want to practice and improve your game, look elsewhere.

I have placed the order on Oct 11th and still waiting for delivery. I am almost sure that they are going to cancel in few weeks. I should have bought this from Amazon Prime Big Day deals. I would never buy any big ticket item from target.com in the future.
