These headphones offer an impressive combination of comfort, sound quality, and value, making them a great choice for both casual listeners and those looking to enhance their audio experience. Guests appreciate the retro design and the ability to wear them for extended periods without discomfort. While they excel in sound isolation and bass response, some guests noted the lack of a detachable cable and the need for an adapter for certain connections. Overall, they are a solid investment for music lovers.

Excellent studio monitoring headphones
I've had this pair for over 2 years now and have used many pro models for 20+ years. These are excellent and provide comfort for hours and consistent monitoring sound that is balanced and true.

Goood sound headphones
Comfortable if to use extra bought XL round earpieces. Good sound good isolation. They are not designed for wireless battery powered applications and do not have active noise cancelling. This is the reason they sound much better than expensive SONY or BOSE or Audio-Technica or Sennheiser when those are used in power off mode. Good for static setup with wired connection, not fording, the cable is not detachable, may not be a good fit for rough environments or. travel (take a lot of space.)

Can't be beat fr the price
While not high, the sound is pretty good for the money. Still in the break in period so who knows how they will sound afterwards.

Not Worth It!
I bought this model and another from Monoprice at the same time, with the intent to see which worked the best. This pair arrived first so tried them on before even plugging them in to see how they fit. First of all, they did not fit as advertised and were very uncomfortable! So..... there wasn't any need to even see what they sounded like. Ad title says "......... Over Ear Headphones". Unless you have small ears, these fit ON Ear. NOT "over" or "around"! Secondly, (and this may be my fault for not reading the fine print), while Monoprice will take them back if you aren't satisfied, you are on the hook for the return shipping! In my case, it came to about half what they cost so BE Warned!

Not as good as I hoped it would be. I'd like to return it for a refund.
It looks nice. A clean design and it's comfortable to wear. However it's not as loud as it should be. I compared it with two old sets I have. My Koss pro/4 A11 plus is much louder but uncomfortable. The AKG K240 is the best. Visually it's similar tp the Monoprice but with a much bigger sound and the best fidelity of the three. The Koss is the loudest but the least accurate. I'd like to return the Monoprice if you'll pay for the shipping. It's in all the original packaging. The 3.5 mm adapter did not come with it.

6.3mm, NOT 3.5mm as advertised. Box states adapter included, but NOT included
1) this is NOT 3.5mm as stated, you will need to buy an adapter if you need 3.5mm. 2) box says "3.5mm Jack with 6.3mm Adapter - there is NO adapter in the box so that is 2 annoying things. once i obtained an adapter and was able to use I liked the sound and comfort. I would recommend the purchase but better to know these things up front rather than be misled.

Great price! Hurts after a while
Kinda feel tight after extended wear. The cushioning flattens out. Good sound quality and sound blocking.

Great Value!!!
The Monoprice Modern Retros were just what I imagined they would be. They're a great value! I didn't have to necessarily upgrade the pads, but I chose to anyway. It did improve the overall look, feel, and sound slightly, but that's just my opinion. My only complaint is probably obvious, but it's the non-detachable cable. Other than that, for the money, two thumbs up!

Nostalgic
Some things that I liked about this headphone was the fact that they are structured to fit your head in the most comfortable position. It sort of fits the head and wraps the ears perfectly. 10/10 would buy again. Side note these look like the headphones I used to use in Elementary.

Excellent product!
I lived most of my life in headphones. I was a New York City studio musician. I?d put these headphones in the same category as the very best ones I had ever ever used.

The best budget headphones In existence
I have been using these for 4 years and they are still going strong. My only complaint is that there isn't a wireless version or a premium version of these in a much higher quality. The way these are designed it is virtually impossible for it to have a mechanical failure. The cable or headphone drivers will probably be the first to go which usually isn't the case for me. Most of the time in headphones some annoying tiny little piece of plastic breaks off and renders them unwearable, but these? They fit all heads. No size restrictions, super easy to put on and off, sliding mechanism instead of clicking and locking so they move freely, yet have enough force to stay securely on your head. How these are $25 I have no idea. 4 years, going on 5, I will buy these again if mine for some reason break

Can?t ask for more for the price.
Wow, what a set of cans for $20. They are a bit bass heavy, but not in a bad way. Just thinking if you were using them in the recording studio, you have a bit of an unrealistic impression of the bass level. That being said, they are very enjoyable to listen to, especially for bass important music. Very nice up top too, not harsh at all. Very loud on an iPad as well.

These are very solid headphones, although wearing them for an extended period of time is not comfortable and requires fiddling.

Excellent value for the price
I think these headphones are an excellent value for the price I don?t think you can get much better. However, I did replace the air pads with some brain waves and they?re the most comfortable headphones I?ve ever put on my head and they sound amazing for The price.

Decent, but not the best
I've been looking at all the K240 knockoff headphones out there as I own a couple pairs of the old original 600 ohm ones. These are okay phones, but not the best ones out there. These are sort of closed-backed, so they have some rejection if you're using them as tracking phones, but I prefer the MP DJ headphones for tracking. These are just another option. For mixing, these aren't quite good enough, but are not far off. They are better than many other inexpensive headphones I've tried.

Great Value headphones
I purchased this to listen to music while editing photos on a computer. To my ears these do a great job streaming from a music service like Tidal or Spotify,
