    Size XL is the new L

    I purchased 3 size Large. The size I have worn for decades. Upon trying them on, they felt at least one size too small, being tight on both my waist and thighs. I held them up to my Hanes pairs purchased recently, and they were a good 1.5 inches narrower in both areas. I exchanged two of the three, and when doing so was told the tried on pair was returnable, but that just felt gross to me. So, I am out $18 due to poor Hanes manufacturing. The echanged XL fits like the large. Measuring it against my current Size L indicated that as well. The other reason for the rating is that these are nowhere near as soft as the ones I purchased recently, either. I also found them to be rather transparent, so it appears less material is being used.
