Q: Even after the sterilizing and drying cycle is complete, there is still water left in the water reservoir/tray. Is this a defect? How can this be resolved?
A: Hello! When you remove the large basket of the SCF293/00, be aware of the remaining water on the base drip tray.
submitted byPhilips Consumer Care - 4 days agoA: Hello! When you remove the large basket of the Philips Avent Baby Bottle Sterilizer & Dryer Premium SCF293/00, be aware of the remaining water on the base drip tray. The drip tray is designed to catch milk or food residue and prevent it from going into the water reservoir of the base. This is to optimize the sterilizing performance and make the heating element easy to clean. Detach the bottom plate from the large basket. Pour out any remaining water from the large basket drip tray and clean it. Pour out any remaining water from the water reservoir and wipe it dry. The appliance does not work for 10 minutes after a sterilizing cycle. It needs to cool down first. If you need further assistance, feel free to leave us a private message on Facebook.

Q: Can you use this to sterlize bump parts as well?
A: Hello! You can sterilize all parts (except silicone tubes, caps, motor, and adapter) in a Philips AVENT sterilizer. Make sure to allow for a cool-down period after the sterilizing cycle has ended: the breast pump can be too hot to touch immediately after sterilizing. Do not sterilize electric components from the Philips Avent breast pump.
