Description
What if math problems were as sweet as ice cream sundaes? That fanciful notion becomes an educational reality with the Smart Scoops Math Activity Set* from Learning Resources. Shaped like a real carton of ice cream, this set encourages kids to dish up bright, multi-colored scoops of pretend ice cream into equally colorful sundae bowls. This pretend play works side-by-side with the set’s 23 double-sided cards, which come packed with lessons and examples that parents can use to reinforce concepts ranging from sorting and color to counting and number skills. Kids can stack up the scoops by color, dish them into the corresponding colored bowl, or work on simple addition while building fun sundaes. The cards come with leveled activities, so this set grows with your child. Unlike real ice cream, the Smart Scoops Math Activity Set* is also easy to clean and store when activity time ends. Ages 3+.

This math activity set is a hit among children and parents alike, offering a fun and engaging way to learn counting, colors, and basic math skills. The vibrant colors and ice cream theme make it particularly appealing to young kids, while the educational aspect is appreciated by adults. My daughter is a toddler of 2 acts a lot like a 3-year-old. Her current phase is mostly play acting and reenacting scenes from Dumbo and her books. But she loves to hand us ice cream cones. Problem is they don't stay on each other very easily. It would be great if they could snap in place so they could be moved or carried. We have attempted to stay focused on recreating the patterns of ice cream combos provided on the cards. The concept is great and I think we will be ready for it in a couple of months. As usual, these toys have different levels of interaction associated with them as a child grows.
