Something has changed besides the new plastic container and price increase. I’ve used these for years for the same buried cherry cookie recipe with no issues. Now, the cherry topping looks like it’s been napalmed after cooking and everything it touches is chewy/rubbery. Craziest thing. Will NOT be using these cherries again.

Confused on negative reviews as well, I got these and they taste great like regular ones I’ve gotten in more expensive brands. Love that the jar isn’t glass as my child loves these and can grab them herself to top off her pancakes or sweet treat. I recommend them as a cheaper alternative with the same regular taste you’d expect!

Tastes normal, misleading reviews
I liked it. I bought this without seeing the reviews first, I was expecting the worst but it tastes like any ordinary maraschino cherries I’ve bought before, maybe slightly less sweet, but just barely, that’s all. Only downside is that the packaging says it may contain pits/seeds, I used about half the jar already and haven’t found any pits yet, would buy again. Not sure why everyone is saying this is disgusting, I’ve tried some by themselves but used the rest for a fruit salad (should’ve bought stemless but oh well) but they taste normal, this is actually the cheapest brand I’ve found for maraschino cherries so this was a win
