Q: Can the laminate be stained with wood stain? Will it hold the color of the stain? Can the metal legs support be painted? If so, does the metal need to be primed first?

A: Hello the metal legs may be able to be painted without prime. However the laminate we do not recommend using a stain as it may not hold the color as you may expect.

Looks and works as promised. Well packaged, easy-to-follow instructions, no problem to put together, solid once assembled. Goes together with the same types of hardware as Ikea furniture (cam-lock screws/nuts, dowels, hex key, etc.). As a standing desk, it's a good height for someone 5'10" tall. No frills, but worth $75.

For the money this is a beast of a desk if built properly. By properly, I mean using wood glue every chance you get and taking the time to make sure each step is complete before moving onto the next. In other words, try not to rush the process. I attached a black power strip with some black zip ties to the back of the desk, ran the cable down one of the legs with additional zip ties to keep the cable in a fixed place which both discreetly provides electricity as well as prevents accidents. I stuck small hooks on the back of the desk which hold the excess cordage from the various devices I have plugged in, this helps to reduce clutter and allows me to move the cords more quickly (than a zip tie would) if I’m working from a different location. I did end up getting a stand for my MacBook because the desk is a bit short for me but the desk itself is quite impressive for the money and, even with the stand, it’s significantly more affordable than most alternatives. I’d definitely recommend this. In fact, given its price, I’m tempted to buy another but I have no idea what I’d need it for lol

I needed a simple standing desk for my walking pad, and this fit the bill! It’s not the sturdiest piece of furniture, but for the price I’m happy with it. I am 5’6” and still have to prop up my laptop higher, so not sure if it would be the best fit for someone taller.

This desk was easy to assemble but it is a little wobbly. The legs aren't the same height. It works for the space I needed it for and it's cute! Also, I can never assemble things well, but this was easy for me to follow and do alone. I also got it on sale!

This desk works great! Was suspicious since it was just a metal frame and particle board, but works really well and is sturdier than I thought it would be. Knocked a star off value and quality because it is particle board so I’ve been super careful about coasters so it doesn’t bubble or anything.

The desk is great. Packaging was well done too except for the packet of parts, which was opened ( though the box was sealed and undamaged) which was missing three of the parts to attach the drawer. I wasn’t going to attach it anyway so no great loss, but disappointing anyway. Other than that pretty darn nice.

This is well made and was easy to put together. Don't over tighten anything until you have it completely together as some of the steps might make it seem as if the pieces don't line up, but they do. I did add little rubber ends to the legs so it slides easily across my carpet. I don't alwasy use it in the same place
