Zojirushi vs Tiger

Fuse is soldered to power supply, terrible design.
The fuse is soldered to the power supply, you don't sell power supplies. fuse is never even mentioned in the manual. It is absurd for me to have to take it apart and solder a fuse for something so expensive. Will not be repairing it or using any further Zojirushi products. I can't believe how stupid this is. I am not mailing some crap in for repairs for a fuse... ridiculous.

Perfect Rice
This rice cooker makes perfect rice, every time. Following the included instructions, you will always get perfectly cooked, tender rice, every time. The non-stick coating makes cleanup basically a matter of letting it cool off and then wiping the leftover starch out. I have not had a chance to use the other settings such as congee and oatmeal, but I can only expect excellent performance. I wholeheartedly recommend this rice cooker.

Quality-You get why you pay for
I have always loved the brand Zojirushi. I visited Japan many years ago and it all began with their thermos and I have to say, I have not been disappointed by their product. Quality is in point and if you care for it, it will last you a lifetime. I purchased this along with a water boiler and warmer, I have nothing but praises for both items purchased.

It really did make the best rice
I shouldn't be surprised but I never had a rice cooker before so I had no expectations. Was still thorougly surprised how tasty the rice came out flavor and texture wise. I want to try long grain or brown rice next. I have faith in the quality of rice it makes just hope it lasts!

I make rice a lot, love to make our in batches and freeze for later. A rice cooker is a must for me. I've not had the chance to try all functions yet just sweet/sushi rice and it comes out nice and holds together, easy to pick up with fork or chopsticks. It freezes well and retains texture after defrosting.

The best rice cooker!!
We had a Zojirushi induction rice cooker that worked flawlessly for almost 20 years. Finally, the battery needed replacing, and even though the cooker was still working, we decided to upgrade and treat ourselves to the pressure induction cooker. I wondered if we would notice a difference, and yes we did! The grains of rice are slightly plumper, a little more chewy, and absolutely more delicious. We also like the increased options for Thai rice, steel cut oats, etc. So nice to put the oats to cook the night before and have hot, delicious oatmeal ready the next morning. I highly recommend this model. It is well worth the price.

Great cooker.
We had the same cooker before and this one was a replacement, after the power surge "burned" the cooker. So, obviously we like this one, with heavy inner pot and Umami setting. The only additional settings I would like are "steam" and "scorch", instead of oatmeal and congee.

Buy it if you can afford it.
Pros: The rice quality is very good. There was day that I left the rice in there for 48 hours and it's still soft. It takes about an hour to cook the rice. Although the inner lining is Platinum, it could still easy be scratched, so I have to be careful anyway. Con: closing of the lid is a little hard. My kids complained that its not easy to close the lid.

I was initially a bit put off by the price, but now I feel it was worth it! making rice on the stove used to be a hassle, so much that I said I would probably only use it 2 times a week on the survey. but now, I've used it probably twice as much! the rice comes out perfect every time! the recommended maintenance is a bit intense, but its worth it to keep it in top condition.

Perfect rice every time. Love this machine so much bought a second one for our cabin. The elevation is much higher there than our home and I wondered if rice would cook differently there but it comes out perfect. Also love the steel cut oats setting.
