Q: Is this certified lead-free? A yes or no is what I'm looking for.
A: In other words, yes it does.
submitted bymelanie - 1 year agoA: Hello! We regularly employ rigorous third-party testing to ensure that our Slow Cookers meet or exceed all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, including those related to lead content. Consumers should feel confident that our Slow Cookers are safe to use. The glaze of our ceramic pots is a silicate made of quartz, feldspar and clay. The glaze is covered over the pot, fired at high temperature to melt the glaze and then cooled down. The glaze liquid is then turned into coating the same as glass film on the surface of the pot. This does not contain PTFE & PFOA. The FDA specifies allowable amounts of lead, cadmium and other substances. All the glazes that we use meet or exceed FDA requirements. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am -5pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Q: Can you cook an 8lb ham in this size?
A: Hello Cynthia. Great question. Yes, you can cook an 8 lb ham in the Crock-Pot 7qt Cook & Carry One Touch Programmable Slow Cooker, though it may be a snug fit depending on the shape of the ham. For best results, we recommend placing the ham at an angle if needed and ensuring it’s fully covered with liquid or glaze to cook evenly and stay moist throughout the slow cooking process.
