Cracked in under a year, no replacement parts available

I own a Crock-Pot that was handed down from my parents after 20 years of use, and it has continued to work perfectly for me over the past 10 years. That's 30 years of reliable use from one appliance. So I'm not someone who's hard on slow cookers, I came into this purchase with genuine brand loyalty. This one cracked in less than a year of normal use. This was disappointing on its own, but what made it worse was trying to find a solution. I searched every approved retailer on Crockpot's own list looking for a replacement inner pot, they don't seem to sell one for this model anywhere. When I contacted customer service, they simply redirected me back to that same retailer list I had already exhausted. There's seems to be no path forward except buying a whole new unit. For a brand that used to be built to last decades, this feels like a significant step backward in both quality and repairability. I wouldnt recommend.

    I had high hopes.

I've had multiple uses of this turning off way too soon. At first it was user error and I forgot to press "start" but too many times, it's shut off on dinner. It's been quite upsetting.

    Great.. but not durable

This slow cooker works phenomenal. It heats evenly, the settings are easy to use, and the sous vide feature is a huge plus. Everything I’ve made in it has turned out great. My only complaint is the build quality. The outer material feels like thin aluminum and it dents pretty easily. You have to be careful moving it around or storing it.

    terrible

purchased this slow cooker expecting dependable performance, but unfortunately it did not meet expectations. It runs much hotter than it should and overcooked my food, even when using the recommended settings. Another major disappointment was that it did not automatically switch to the warm setting when the timer finished—it simply shut off completely. This defeats the purpose of having a programmable slow cooker, especially if you’re not right there when cooking ends. Crock-Pot just isn’t what it used to be, and based on this experience, I would recommend choosing a different brand. I ultimately returned it.
1 reply from CrockPot Support Team team - 5 months ago
Hello Kathy! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that your Crock‑Pot 6qt Programmable Slow Cooker with Sous Vide didn’t perform the way you expected. We understand how frustrating it is, especially on a model designed for precise temperature control and convenience. Even though you’ve already returned the unit, we’d still like to offer a few troubleshooting steps that may help explain what happened, in case you consider using another Crock‑Pot in the future: 1. Confirm the cooking mode selected This model includes both Slow Cook and Sous Vide functions. If Sous Vide is selected accidentally, the unit may heat differently than expected. 2. Check the programmed time and temperature If the timer isn’t fully confirmed, the cooker may not enter the automatic WARM cycle and instead shut off at the end of the cook. 3. Ensure the pot is filled correctly For slow cooking, filling the stoneware between ½ and ¾ full helps maintain stable temperatures. Under‑ or over‑filling can cause hotter‑than‑normal performance. 4. Verify the lid is fully seated A tilted or loose lid can cause heat loss, making the unit run hotter to compensate. 5. Avoid placing the cooker near external heat sources Nearby ovens, stovetops, or direct sunlight can raise the internal temperature and affect performance. 6. Run a quick test cycle Setting the unit to LOW for 10–15 minutes with water inside can help determine whether the heating element is running hotter than expected. We truly appreciate your honest feedback, and we’ll make sure your comments are shared with the appropriate team. Your experience helps us continue improving our products and ensuring dependable performance for all Consumers. If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via our official website "Contact Us" page. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am -5pm Eastern Time. Great, Lightweight Slow Cooker

For the price this is unbeatable. Already used this once for soup and twice for roasts. The integrated thermometer is a really nice touch for keeping food in the sweet spot temperature range for long periods.

Love this!! I will probably never use sous vide and rarely the probe but love the color! Love the design The more oblong shape is much roomier! Like wow! They should make them all in this shape! It held two large clhicken breast with room left over They wouldn't even fit in the standard shape one It has four feet which I also like! Love the light color of the crock More please So far cooking has gone well!
