Mr. Coffee 1.8 quart Stainless Steel Whistling Tea Kettle

I bought this as a gift durng a Black Friday sale. We were looking for a small kettle with a stay cool handle. This seemed to fit the bill. Since it is a /christmas gift we haven't tried it yet but one thing I did notice was that the spout doesn't stay open unless you keep the button on the handle pushed down. Do not know if that will be a problem yet.

This has a fill line but it is hard to see it when you fill it so if you go near it or above it as the water heats it leaks on the seam where the spout is. The lid is hard to pull off and if you need to fill it and it is hot do not touch that lid, The button kept malfunctioning and finally it is not able to be put back on. It is a poor design for everyday use. I have had it a year and the last month I have to use a knife to hold the spout open so I can pour it. I could have bought a $15 one if I knew spending more money would be a waste. If you just want something to set on the stove and look pretty then this will work, if you want it to function daily, look elsewhere.
