Ripped Seat

I purchased an Ostrich D3N1-1001S Deluxe 3N1, Striped chair from Amazon on December 9, 2022 for $138. Unfortunately, a few days ago while sitting on the chair, the seat ripped below me. I am not a large woman and weigh 132 pounds. I then went to the reviews on Amazon and found at least two other reviewers that had experienced the same exact thing since my purchase. I reached out to Ostrich to see about a replacement or partial refund since this chair was not even a year old. Unfortunately, the best the company would offer was a 40% discount off a new chair. Their response was: “Based on the discoloration it looks like the chair was left out in the sun. The chair must be dried and stored after each use. Further, the stress that can be put on the fabric of our chairs can be greater due to people needing to put their knees on the seat when getting in face first, or simply by flipping over. I can offer a 40% discount on a new Deluxe 3N1 Chair.” REALLY??? This is a beach chair and they are SUPPOSED to be in the sun. And since I use this chair every day on my back deck, it’s not reasonable for me to have to put the chair away on a daily basis. My recommendation is for you NOT to waste your money on these expensive chairs that have many negative reviews and of which the company does not stand behind. But don't just take it from me. Check out other reviewers on Amazon because there are quite a few other customers who have left negative experiences with different issues.

terrible delivery

Terrible delivery service. This is the second time I will be returning this item due to the condition of the box it came in. I shouldn't have to buy an insurance policy to cover a guarantee for an item (not cheap) that was sent and possibly damaged en route. Both boxes were not only crushed, they were slit in the middle exposing the chair. which is a gift.

Don't waste your money

This chair is a pile of crap. After using it 3 times, it collapsed underneath me. There are two parts made of cheap plastic, and the bolts that went through those parts broke free of the plastic. Also it isn’t long enough for an average sized person, I’m 5 ‘9” and 150# and the “adjustable” leg rest hits the middle of my shins. Don’t waste your money.

Love it!

Just get it! I debated on this chair so much because I think the price is too steep, but I’m so glad I bought it. I usually get uncomfortable at the beach and hate having to lay on the sand to tan my backside. The face down hole is amazing (I do find the hole a little too big for my face though). There are arm holes too so you can hold your phone or a book. The cushion for your back is also super comfy. I love this chair so much I started using it in my backyard instead of my lounger and patio furniture.

Disappointing purchase. Very cumbersome to carry and leaked Rust After getting wet. Like, enough rust to stain EVERYTHING. Returned.

Great item!

I bought a pair of these for my daughter and son-in-law, and they love them so much that I would buy another for myself. They're comfy, fold flat enough to store easily, and aren't too heavy to tote to the beach.

gimmicky

it's a comfortable chair but now user friendly. the footrest uses a plastic pívot the is incredibly cheap and doesn't work well. the carry straps are just an add on so don't really work well. Definitely not a backpack chair.

The only Beach Chair You Will EVER need!

Love the size of this chair. Comfy and functional. The extra padding makes a big difference. The footrest has multiple settings and I will use this for park days and beach days. DEF Worth the money!
